…The Me You Know…
Name: Geo Kalinar Rashitan Nickname: The Slashing Bolt How Old They Look: 18-19 Real Age: 23 Gender: Male Species: Elemantalist
…The Me You See…
Eyes: Silver Hair: Blond Skin: Even tone Height: 6'2 Weight: 235 Appearance: Tall and lithe, Geo's very appearance tells that he is a warrior to even the most unaware of people. His muscles are finely toned, and he appears in the peak of health. His eyes are very piercing and observant, constantly drinking in details. His long blond hair is loosely tied in the back, his bangs hanging free.
For the most part he seems like an average human. There's only one real aspect of his appearance that reveals his species, the crackling aura around him at all times. As a Elementalist, he emits visible static discharges periodically, usually once every other hour or so.
While not unfriendly, his expression is not exactly inviting. He looks like he is ready for combat at any moment, almost as if he can't pull his mind away from it.
While out of his armor. He wears tunics, basic pants and leather boots, along with a long beat up leather highwayman's coat. His Armor is full plate, with gaps around the waist to allow him more mobility. He is always seen with his white scarf.
Under his clothing, his body is crisscrossed with burn scars that were created from slashes and stabs, and sealed but pressure and heat. Torso, legs, arms. Five hundred of them in all. Though Geo is the only one that knows the full count.
…The Me You Want To Know…
Personality: Generally a calm, calculating, civil person. Geo is one of those people who can be your greatest ally, or your worst nightmare. He can be extremely loyal if he chooses to be. Though on the flip side, he can be just as vengeful, willing to hunt down a person over not just the world, but the multi-verse.
He doesn't seem like a cold person, but he displays very little of what he's feeling, simply not wishing to give anything away. Clearly mindful of himself and everything around him, one could almost call Geo paranoid, though he's really just alert.
During those times he allows himself to relax, he can be rather talkative, and generally pleasant to be around. He likes learning about people more than anything else, and why they do the things they do. He is an avid reader a social drinker.
When in combat, he is a fierce foe. There is no chit chat before a battle with him, and it is not a time where he will ever play around or show any form of mercy. When he has drawn his blade, that indicates that he is set to kill you, and that every attack will be used with the intent to bring his foe down.
History: Geo Rashitan, the heir to the clan of elementalists that harness the power of lightning. Twenty three years ago he was brought into the world by a knight of an order thought to be extinct, and the caretaker of gardens of the training grounds of his hometown.
Geo displayed an incredible attunment to the clan's primary elemental ability. Enough that the static discharges he displays now, were present even while in the womb, sending tingling sensations through his mother, who fortunately was immune to her own element. When he was born, he was silent after the initial cries as his lungs took in oxygen. After that he seemed quiet, and very content to simply be with his parents. His silvery eyes already seemed to drink in details and try to work them out even as a newborn, reveling he was likely already very attentive, and perceptive.
As he grew, Geo seemed to develop basic motor functions and coordination at an alarming rate. His mother, who had served as a knight for her people, couldn't be more pleased at what she was seeing. She had her son brought to watch her at the training grounds, noticing how much he seemed to focus on things, she wondered if she could start her son upon the path of a warrior by the time he was able to walk without falling.
His father was a bit leery at first, but he soon approved as well, figuring it was likely the boy would need to learn how to fight no matter what path he took in life. As soon as Geo showed that he could walk, he was given a wooden sword carved by his father.
Only allowing it to him when he was outside, his parents simply let the boy have the wooden weapon and watched to see what he would do. Having seen his mother in the training ground, the little boy was able to figure out that this wooden sword was similar to what his mother had used, and started trying to swing it as she had.
Naturally he wasn't good at it, but the fact he had quickly figured out the basic idea of what he should do with it was a sign that his training could begin right away. His parents were delighted and could barely contain the excitement they felt. And thus Geo's training began, the very day he could stand on his own two feet.
His parents were not heartless, they truly did love their son, raising him well, and bringing him up to be a good person as well as a warrior. Though he was fairly adept academically, as he grew he proved that he was much better with the blade.
By the time he was twelve, he had become a swordsman almost rivaling that of the more advanced students in the academy of his village, without ever setting foot in the academy. This was also the age he reached when he was introduced to the training to harness his racial abilities as an Elementalist.
Though not as proficiently as with his swordsmanship, Geo proved to be fairly adept at learning how to harness his abilities. It was revealed after some observation, that his great attunment gave him trouble with keeping his control over his own powers, forcing him to approach his training with his powers in a more gradual manner.
At the age of sixteen he met the first love of his life. A girl one year younger than him named Larana. Larana was a student at the academy, who didn't take much note of Geo until they had actually met face to face. Beforehand she had only heard of him, never actually seeing him.
The duel was short, Larana's training sword splintered in the center the handle clutched in her fist and the end of the wooden weapon on the ground while Geo had the tip of his training sword at her throat, all in a single strike. In one move the fight had been over.
Larana upped her own training, enraged that she had been brushed aside so easily in something she devoted her life to. After a year, she challenged Geo once more. Though she had trained exceptionally hard, and actually gave Geo a challenge this time. Geo had increased his own training, blocking as Larana struck.
He twisted his blade, disarming her and swung his weapon back in, slowing on impact, before pushing out once more to fling her away instead of actually striking her. Using his flash ability for the first time, he "jumped". Reforming behind Larana, he caught her and helped with her landing, sparing her from slamming through a wall.
As Larana had fared better in this duel, she was in something of a better mood, she and Geo got to talking and it wasn't long before they were not only an item, but also fierce rivals.
The relationship lasted for three years. By the time Geo was twenty, their rivalry had started creating problems with their love life. Deciding to keep things from being hateful, they ended that part of the relationship. Naturally things were awkward, but it wasn't long before they were adjusted, and their friendship hadn't suffered for it, though their rivalry had become even more fierce.
A year passed before Geo was presented with the sword he now carries. He had practiced with several weapons as he had grown up, but he had favored a foreign weapon, the katana, which he had only disliked the handgaurd, restricting some movements that he had become fond of. The weapon was custom made with no handguard and forged with a small set of enhancements to help keep the weapon in pristine order.
He was also presented with his armor. With a touch of alchemy, and some twists on a summoning spell, the creators of the armor were able to have it follow Geo, sealed from our own dimension, and form around him when called for. Made out of several metals, lent some alchemical enhancements of their own, the weight was reduced, but the protection just as good.
Now twenty-one, the young man decided to set out and travel outside of his homelands, simply see some of the world, then return home and take a position in his hometown as a more learned person. Fully supported, he was given some resources to make his start on his journey.
His first year of travel has been fairly easy until recently. He had been able to get some supplies and information that he needed, along with some transport once he left his homeland's borders. And he was able to sell his services as a bodyguard of sorts, often helping to protect caravans in return for food, shelter in a caravan, and of course transport with only a minor monetary fee. This allowed Geo to travel and basically get paid to learn about the world and sharpen his combat skills. During his travels he had learned a few languages, some forms of unarmed combat, several bartering skills, and that "gut feeling" one can only attain through experience.
This way of living seemed to be the right way to go about things as far as Geo was concerned, until the battle that Geo would show Geo how far he still had to go. The man's name was Rastal. Geo didn't learn any other names. The man with the scythe, clad in tattered, blood red robes was not inclined to reveal much about himself.
Rastal was after a person in the caravan Geo was protecting. Naturally Geo couldn't allow Rastal to harm his client. Drawing his sword he engaged Rastal and stepped into the worst experience of his life to date. Rastal did to Geo what Geo had done to the academy students, he decimated him in combat.
Geo could barely tell what had been happening, blocking the most critical blows, but being lacerated under the flurry of attacks. His armor had not been present as he had just woke up from his sleep shift, therefore his only protection was his blade and agility.. Sadly he wasn't up to either task. Rastal soon sent Geo flying back and turned to his quarry.
Seeing and opening, Geo used his flash ability and appeared behind Rastal, sword aimed for the kill, but he found he couldn't move. Looking down he saw Rastal's blade inside him. Rastal had flipped it and Geo had formed around it. Giving the scythe a pull, Geo's wound was torn open. Rastal, having been marginally impressed, grasped the dying man's shoulder. Informing Geo that he was too bright to be darkened yet, Rastal sealed the wounds, though they were not healed. Sending out tendrils of magic. Rastal burned the wounds to cauterize them and then flung the defeated warrior aside, killing the man Geo had tried to protect, he left.
Geo awoke in a small town just off the outskirts of Kaharini, he collected his things, amazed to notice he felt tender, but not really sore. Paying for the care that he was under. Geo bought some supplies and headed out in search of the man with the scythe.
Magic: His own: Electrical manipulation: As an elementalist who has the inborn attunment with a certain element, Geo was granted the gift to be able to create and channel electricity. He can charge the particles in the air around him, summoning up lightning which he can hurl at his foes, focus onto his sword, or even wreath his own body in lightning, making the act of attacking him a painful experience for the attacker.
Lightning immunity: Electrical attacks don't work on him. Period. If someone used an ability like his own to wreathe their weapon in electricity, the electrical part wouldn't hurt him. The weapon would, but not the electricity.
Flash: Geo is able to convert his body and anything he is wearing or holding (Barring other living beings) into electricity and travel along the currents in the air to seemingly teleport. (Two post cooldown)
Weapon: A beautiful Katana, crafted without a handgaurd, allowing for more mobility with the weapon.
It is crafted so that it extremely resilient. Elements such as fire, earth, lightning ect. are ineffective against it, and it never looses it's edge.
Armor: A full set of armor that has served Geo well over the years. It has gaps in places that leave Geo open, but allow him to move almost as if he wasn't wearing it. It has been crafted with metals that make it so that the total weight from the entire suit of armor is only fifty pounds.
It has one magical feature that is highly valuable. When not worn, it follows Geo in a pocket dimension, phasing into this dimension after covering him, then becoming solid, allowing him to don his amour more or less at anytime, though he must remain still, so it would be unwise for him to try and don it while in the heat of battle, just as with normal armor.
