…The Me You Know…
Name: Perish Evangeline Nickname: How Old They Look: 25 Real Age: 3435 Gender: Female Species: Human
…The Me You See…
Eyes: Vibrant Red in a blood-like shade Hair: Pure white, soft and moderately thick, reaches half way down her back but is almost always tied up with several obsidian hair ornament spikes. Skin: Extremely pale, almost like marble, strangely flawless, no scars or anything. Height: 5'7'' Weight: 145lbs Appearance: She has a fairly solid build, mostly ordinary except for rigorous training leaving her with moderate muscle definition. Her body generates icy cold rather than heat, and she has a very faint aroma of death and blood about her. Usually she just wears a full suit of white linen, long sleeved shirt, long pants, relatively well-fitted, the shirt is buttoned up from the side of the chest, but the garment is otherwise very plain and simple.
Except, you won't often see that outfit, as she's more or less always inside a full suit of black plated armour, just like a knight. Her armour is far from knightly though, instead of brilliance and power, hers speaks of despair, pain and mourning, the armour shines in the same way oil does, the metal is twisted into spikes here and there, skulls and various other pieces of anatomy are fused onto it here and there like some trophy rack. Her helmet is also adorned with a few ivory horns from some unnamed beast. The armour is devilish in design, much like her sword, black hilted bastard sword with a stained black blade, still looks a bit like metal, but the edge is cruel and twisted, the hilt adorned with smaller skulls and ivory. A vast black cloak often enshrouds her if she thinks her armour in all its glory would attract too much attention, or the wrong kind of attention.
…The Me You Want To Know…
Personality: There are two aspects about Perish that tend to conflict as much as coexist, since there's really two sides of her, one is merely the gathered remnants of her former life, the other is everything she has become now. It results in something similar to split personalities, she can differ greatly and have very little consistency to her actions.
So in short, there's a caring, compassionate side to her, an almost motherly aspect to her, fragments of kindness and helpfulness still persist. And then there's the cold, almost void of emotion side, quite negative yet not evil, a little hollow, she's just not a normally happy person. The cold side is a actually quite haughty, a little arrogant perhaps and overly-confident, though the confidence is more from her age and deathlessness than anything, she has quite a lot of experience and is totally fearless about damn near anything. There's honesty and trust, but that comes from total lack of concern and caring in one aspect, and too much concern and caring in the other, she doesn't care about life or existence in general, so she has no qualms with talking openly or completely trusting a total stranger.
But always in the background of that depressed, mournful and bitter demeanour, is the pleasant woman she once was, because realistically, she doesn't give that much of a damn that she would have been content with just collapsing and letting the world fly by without her, for all intensive purposes being dead. But her former life keeps her moving, she always, always tries to help people, there's little reason for her to exist so she follows these little things above all else.
History: Perish Evangeline, it wasn't really her name, but she was no longer the woman she once was. There was a woman with a sense of purpose, a truly lovely woman to know, she had a very peaceful and very happy life with a husband and one child in a distant farming village, blissfully free of the troubles of the world.
But her tale is quite tragic, as her home village was set upon by a necromancer of sorts, perhaps a vampire type person, it didn't really matter, but the fact was the undead came charging into the village and slaughter damn near everyone. The few people that remained were taken as prisoners, which the necromancer ended up performing atrocities to so unspeakable and horrifying, it tore apart the minds of the other captives who were forced to watch. Perish had been last, much to her own dismay, watching her child and husband...
Something inside her woke, when she had fallen into the bottom of the pit of depression, despair and horror, when her mind had become so scarred and shattered it was barely her any more, when she wanted to die and her body was shutting down by the strength of its own will and fierce desire for it to happen.
She must have died for quite some time, for she awoke in unfamiliar territory, not a scratch on her, yet what had happened to her could qualify as some kind of 'scratch'. Her entire body had been stained by a truly awful magic, necromancy, her hair was bleached pure white, eyes like blood shimmering brightly, skin almost that of marble. She wasn't her old self any more, but there were still memories, memories of unimaginable amounts of hate, anger, despair, mourning. There was a necromancer she absolutely had to kill in the most brutal way possible.
Magic: Perish's magic is unnerving for the average person, a strange kind of necromancy, dark magic; Lichborne – She's transcended death, becoming something less than human yet her heart still seems to beat, foul magic pulses through her veins letting her regenerate from anything, even total destruction. Though as powerful as it may seem, it still mostly relies on blood like a vampire, if it's hers or if she can claim it, her regeneration can be performed from it. Necromancy – She can naturally reach out to dead organic matter and animate it with a bit of effort, but as a rule she can't animate anything that requires more magic than the blood she possesses, hence a skeletal horse or something like it would be pushing it, and if someone else is controlling said matter then it becomes a contest of wills. Blood – Naturally her domain, if it's hers or dead enough, she can control it pretty well, make it flow around on the floor in complex shapes, flow along surfaces, but that's about it. Dark – Conjuration mostly, with an elaborate ritual of blood she can summon her armour, cloak and sword freshly built good as new, the old ones will dissolve slowly. She can also administer minor repairs on her armour and sword with a few runes written in blood.
