Sweet Serenity

[Rose]

" What a vampire cant finish what he started?........whimp" Was this girl not annoying? He knew that this was just another attempt to get him to kill her… It wasn’t going to work. Pressing on through the forest, Kahani paused, and looked back. She was light headed… Everything inside of told him to go back. No, it screamed at him to do so. But did he? Not a chance in the world. Kahani wasn’t going to run back for some chick that was trying to make him even more of a murderer. It was the last thing he wanted for now. It was a given he would continue to do what he had trained himself for so long to do, but right now, he just needed to think.

A small stream in this distance, he could hear the water trickling over top of the rocks. Every curve made that small sound. It released that clean smell into the air, reassuring the boy that he would be able to find it easily. Kahani was sure to slow his pace, giving this girl the capability of keeping up. He knew that the blood loss made her light headed, but this was no matter. She would live, and that’s all that really mattered as of the moment. The boy wasn’t really one to leave another behind unless they were well, guess he got that from the wars he was in. It was complicated, his life. But able to be lived.

Pushing his fingers through the brunette locks that layer his scalp, Kahani silently made his way to one of the larger rocks. With a small push against the ground, and he was up, setting at the top of the rock. How could he have forgot everything that happened? Him mother really did, dare he think it, hate him. Not for who he was, any mother would have been proud to have him as a son, but rather who the boy looked like. It wasn’t his fault, if he could he would have changed his mother’s past. In a way, the boy related to our Hitler, always loving his mother, and being pushed to the edge with her death.

Kahani’s eyes shifted down, gazing upon this girl. Tips of her blue hair had been stained with the crimson, making them look like a deep purple. Her eyes, from there, looked to be red, from the pain she was just released on. It was not even close to an eighth of the pain that Kahani went through, just walking through hell. One little step, and it was to bring pain. his stupidity of a younger year, look where he was now! Now he was watching some girl beg him to kill her, and why? Because life had bore her. What she didn’t know, what the girl didn’t do. The revolution, it was coming. And she was willing to miss that?

”I didn’t start anything…” His voice was quiet, and the boy’s hair falling back in front of his eyes. ”You are the one who wants to die.” Directing his view back to the stream, Kahani sat in silence. There was something about this place, it was so calming. Not to mention it was the only sound to be found in the forest, seeing how it was literally incapable of being silent. It was water, flowed so smoothly. Yet he could even bend that if he wished, and freeze it… What had he done to himself?

[Jinx]

”I didn’t start anything…” she had regained some of her balance and the lightheadedness began to slowly wear off. She looked up at him. ”You are the one who wants to die.” Her eyes closed into a small glare but only for a second cause he was partially right. " true i am the one that want to d....not longer be living...but the words 'bite me' never crossed my lips" She had never actually said bite me but the way she made her self bleed was just like saying that in front of a vampire. She pulled her necklance up and looked at it, it was a heart that was breaking in half. At one point in her life it was a whole heart but after she made the deal with the devil her life changed.

She played with the necklace remember what had happened after she had made the deal. She ran off to tell her friends because she was so very happy. They were happy too, or at least at first. They thought that their day would come when they got a chance to live life forever. After many years her friends became jealous and spiteful of her. They had begun to ask why had she made the deal? and they accused her of knowing that it was only for her before she made the deal. They would continues be mean to her, even her best friend, the one that gave her the necklace. She even had taken the time to engrave Leena Richman on one side and ' Best Friends' on the other. The day her friends all turned away from her the necklace broke a little and the day they died it broke a little more.

She hide the necklace back under her shirt and looked back up at the boy and sighed. She wondered if she should just walk away and leave him be but there was just something about him. It made her want to know more about him. He was very interesting.she looked to the ground. But it wasn't like she could just walk up to him and say 'what was your life like?'. Wait? what the hell was she thinking? no she wanted to die not fall in love with a man whom she didn't even know his name. She wiped some hair out of her face and looked up at him with more determination in her eyes then before.

[Rose]

" true i am the one that want to d....not longer be living...but the words 'bite me' never crossed my lips" That was true. At this point, Raul had moved himself slightly on the other side of the rock, crossing his arms, and resting them on his legs. Kahani's head was bowed, touching his arms, and hiding the view of his face. To anyone who would care to look, the man looked slightly emo. his light brown hair, falling carelessly around the boy's face. His bright eyes, lightly closed, and out of view. To be perfectly honest, he looked miserable. His accented voice was muffled through his arms, but still able to be heard. "Your blood talked for you."

Bringing his head up, and running his fingers through his hair, the boy stared off into the distance. His hands folded, and his elbows stayed connected to the man's knees. The most distant look of thought was able to be found in his eyes, masking over his memories. The original crooked smile had vanished into a soft look of confusion. Everything was so obvious he was lost in his thoughts... his memories... His day of hell...

A small knock on the door echoed thorough the small hut, causing the blond to jump up from the couch, and walk to her door. Quickly opening the heavy wooden mass, the woman could only let out one word before she was able to see the grown boy. “Yes?” Her pale green eyes widened, and the woman stepped back. “Kahani, leave!” “But mom I…” “Leave now!” The boy’s head tilted, just as he went to move on in the conversation. “What the hell did I ever do to make you hate me so much?”

The woman repeatedly shook her head, and stepped back. “I told you I would kill myself and you still came!” “I figured you were being sarcastic.” That was the last time the boy had ever talked to his mother. She pulled out a blade, and quickly shoved it up through her jaw, ending the woman’s miserable life instantly. It was as if time stopped. Nothing seemed to be moving, everything in the hut, was silenced.

Kahani’s crystal blue eyes stared forward to the woman’s body as it slumped lifelessly to the floor. The boy’s pupils were as small as they ever were, causing the boy to repeatedly shake his head. “Mom… Mom!” Lunging himself forward, Kahani instantly pulled his mother up, and pulled the knife from the bottom of her jaw. “I am sorry… I am so sorry…” Placing his hand over the knife’s entry point, the boy closed his eyes, and continuously repeated the same healing spell... She was dead.

All he ever wanted was to tell his mother one thing. He had only came home to tell her, that he was just sired by the king. That he could give her the money she needed for her home, so she could live in happiness! But the bitch just killed herself... Leaving her lifeless body as the only memory that came back every time he thought of his mother. Shaking his head, and running his fingers slightly into his hair, just enough to take hold of the brunette locks, Kahani sat in his silence. The memories he was so happy to be rid of... Why did they have to come back?

[Jinx]

"Your blood talked for you." She looked away that was kinda creepy she thought. She looked at him and saw him deep in thought she didnt know if she should bother him or just go on thinking. She let him think for a while she wasnt just going to throw her self at him. But she did jump up next to him on the rock she thought about what to say she opened her mouth like she was about to say something but no words came out so she closed it and thought for a second.

"..mm......you okay dude?" she looked at him and wondered if this would be a good or bad time to ask him his name. She hestaited then looked down. She was so confused she wanted him to kill her and be his friend? god she needed mental help she was about to ask the guy who she want to kill her his name she facepalmed herself and sighed. "Okay i cant believe i am going to ask you this but...........whats your name?" She didnt look at him she already felt like such a moron for asking the question she thought she wasnt going to get a clear respones if one at all.

[Rose]

"..mm......you okay dude?" that comment came in the middle of his thoughts. That one memory, the single movement of his mother... It ran over and over again in his head. Pounding the memory, and setting it into place. His eyes had then shifted down to the rock, letting him set in silence while lightly biting his bottom lip. Never would he cry again... the furthest that anyone would see him to crying was this. Bent over, with his face shadowed with his own sorrow. It always happened this way, if he had any pain. Emotional that is. His younger years, that was when it usually showed. But as the years went by, the boy's sorrow slowly faded to gray, and he began to laugh at pain, at sorrow, at misery...

"Okay i cant believe i am going to ask you this but...........whats your name?" his name? Suddenly she wanted to know his name? Well, there was no harm in telling her. The voice was quiet, and hardly able to be heard. "Kahani...." Pulling his hands down, the boy let out a light sigh, and closed his eyes. "Yours?" It was worth asking, seeing how he was probably going to be stuck with the girl for a while. Might as well make the best of it! Maybe she would even wander into town as he did, oh the fun that would be.

[Jinx]

"Kahani...." Well that was a interesting name, she felt like she had heard it some where before, she shurgged it didnt matter at the moment. "Yours?" She was shocked he wanted to know her name? well she hesitated for a minute then finally said "Leena" she looked around wondering what to do cause suddenly she felt very awkward and weird.

She suddenly felt the necklace chain break and her necklace fell to the ground. She looked at it for a minute wondering why it just broke the chain had lasted so long and it choose this excalty moment to break. Was there a reason behind this was somebody trying to tell her something? but who? only one person knew about the necklace and she was sure she died. She looked closer at the place where the chain "broke" but that was just it there was no spot where it broke her necklace was in one piece. She felt totally creeped out. She looked around and saw no body and heard no body they were alone out here. She slowly reached for it to pick it up her fingers shaking a bit as she took it in her hand. She had totally forgotenn that Kahani was there.

[Rose]

"Leena" It took her a moment, but the girl finally got it out. Sweet, and simple. Leena. Actually, he had heard that name a few times. When you lived for so long, you tended to hear things. It was usually in town where he heard the name. Just in general conversation. Ironic, to meet one that you heard about through other people's conversations. Did he learn anything about her? No. Not really. It was the simple fact that her name had lightly flowed into his hears at one point, and oddly enough, he remembered it. Yes, it was indeed strange for one to remember just some name off of the street, but Kahani was always one to notice details. Ever since he was young, the boy had to do this. All for his safety. After all, his first kill was at six when his mother just tossed him a knife as one of the local wolves came to attack him.

A small crack echoed in the boy's ears, causing him to look directly to the location. Leena's necklace, it had broken. Why? He wouldn't be the one to know. Just so ironic how it had chosen that particular time, and place to break. He could smell how old the craftsmanship on that thing was, seeing how he had lived so long that this necklace's metal was familiar. From one of the older tribes? Perhaps. It just gave him that little bit of information that he needed to know that this necklace was older, and quite the toughest of materials. For it to break? Just randomly? There wasn't a reason to it. But this brought up his inquisitive side, why had it broke?

Carefully watching as the girl plucked up her necklace, slightly quivering, and looking around, Kahani paused. Why was she looking around so much? "Is there something wrong?" If there was, usually he was the one to know it. Nothing, had ever dared to sneak up on the devil's assassin. usually, the result was death.

[Jinx]

"Is there something wrong?" She looked at him then back down to her necklace. she kinda held it up so he could see. In fact the necklace she knew had broken but now it was perfectly fine. Then she looked away and spoke to herself."only one other person knew about this.....but....but....she cant still b...can she?.....no no way....its been centuries. She then realized again that he was still there. she put the necklace back on. she had fear and confusion in her eyes.

She guessed from how he had been not really caring in the past that he wouldn't care now and that he would just drop it and she would not have to explain to him and if he asked she would give him the very very short version. she wasn't excatly sure what the short verison was yet but there had to be one. She never let her eyes stop moving for a second and her heartbeat was racing. she knew her friend or at least she had known her friend. She didnt know why she was scared cause she was her friend or at least she thought she was. The memory came back to her of the day they left her now she remebered what her old best friend had said to her.

The others had already turned away but her friend Cilu stood there for a second and her face stayed serious. She spoke very calmly "Leena we are no longer friends" Leena had almost felt her heart break. "..what... why?" Her friend glared at her " people who live forever cant have friends" she gasped and almost cried "Wait who made that stupid rule up that cant be right we can still be friends" Her friend turned around and looked over her shoulder and said" Leena if i ever see you again...I will Kill you" Then as Leena stood there not understanding what just happened she just walked away.

Why didnt she remember that before now? But how? she covered her mouth with her hand. Damn she had forgotten that he was still there she turned around and put a smile on her face like nothing was wrong. But her eyes still moving. What had happened in 3 centuries?

[Rose]

"only one other person knew about this.....but....but....she cant still b...can she?.....no no way....its been centuries." He of all people knew that even humans found ways to live centuries. Weather it be deals, or a simple enchantment, and the humans would live. This was why they were the main race of the kingdom. Amongst them was a strong population of other species, mainly upholding the kingdom. Without them, the kingdom would have crumbled. Fallen to pieces, and had no possibility of standing. With so much of the population gone, there was nothing to hold up it's weight. Kaharini would be nothing.

His eyes scanned over the girl as she went through her flashback. One of her friends had to have done this, or at least someone that she knew. All that the boy knew, was they were not alone in the forest. Standing quickly, and perking up, he looked around for the new scent. A light shake of the head, and Kahani sat back down, making it look as if he were stretching, and resting once more. The boy was good at covering things up, and it was going to work. That was how well he had molded that in there, from the original looking around, to a quick stretch.

"What's wrong?" He shifted it to look as if he had been running smooth, fooling whoever was out there. It would as well possibly be enough to fool the girl, acting as he always did.

But her thought caught her again. how could her friend still be alive? why was she so mad at her this felt so unreal. she ran her hands up into her hair she was going to become paraiod if this kept going on. wait this was her friend. she knew her she knew how she fought.....or she did 300 years ago. She sighed. Her face became suddenly serious and she put her hands down at her sides. She began to understand, her friend was trying first to make her crazy. she smiled okay if she wanted to plays games they would play.

She remembered that he asked her a questions and she looked to him with a cocky almost evil smile on her face. "whats wrong? ha nothing at all everything is just fine! it is a beatuiful day dont you think?" She knew her ignoring her would piss her off more then anything else she could do. she laughed this was amusement for her now.

"whats wrong? ha nothing at all everything is just fine! it is a beautiful day don't you think?" Woah, wait. Was there just a major personality change? There really was something wrong, and he was supposed to play along. Well, amusement for the moment. A light smelling of the air, and he connected it. The necklace with the smell that had become new. She was tricking the person who gave her the necklace! Smart girl. Watching as she gave that cocky grin, Kahani offered a sweet smile. He wouldn't only play along, he would make this seem unbearable to whoever she was trying to fool.

"Only a beautiful night because I lay eyes upon you again babe." He was going to play the part of 'boy is crazy over girl' just for her. He carefully sent that mind message of 'I'll play along' to cross the girl's mind, and he was off. Wrapping his arms around the girl's waist, Kahani looked down to here with a sweet look in his eyes. It was obvious he caught on, and was only doing this to piss off whoever she was trying to piss off, even more. Those crystal blue eyes lightly sparkled in the moon's light, and his brunette hair hold that mystic blue tinge to it from the reflection of light. At that moment, he was the boy in any girl's dreams.

"Only a beautiful night because I lay eyes upon you again babe." Holy crap he was really going to get along with this any way but she couldn't slap him because Cilu (her friends) would see and know that it is all a act so she only had a choice which was to play along with his playing along. She gently rested her head on his chest. . This was a bit embarrassing to her cause she did think he was very very good looking but she had never been this close with a guy before. "your so sweet" She felt like she wanted to gag after she said that cause she still thought of him as the man who wouldn't kill her.

A voice came out of the tree, a voice that Leena knew she had heard before" i can not watch any more of this shit i think i am going to puke". She saw her 'friend' jump out of the tree in which she was hiding and then land on the rock a couple yards away from them. Leena cracked a crooked grin across her lips "hey Cilu, how are you?" Just by looking at her friend she knew how she had lived the past years, vampire. the old features she had known were mostly gone, her once bright hazel eyes had now turned a deep red and her friends long blonde hair was now long but as black as the night. "Look like i have not lived as good a life as you, hmmmm feeding a vampire were you? and dont play dumb with me i smelt your blood and i can tell he is a vampire, an old one at that" Leena pulled her self from his arms "What the hell happened to you Cilu?" Cilu got a huge smile acrossed her face as she took a step close to them. "life happened to me, old friend," she hissed "after we walked away from a bitch we use to call our friend" Leena gave her a cold glare and Cilu smiled " we ran into a vampire and he bit us all, but i was the only one to surive it, the other ones filled him up and he was full by the time he got to me" Leena gaped " how can you speak of your friends in such a way?!?!" Cilu shurgged and took another step froward trying to get closer to leena.

[Rose]

The girl lye her head against his chest, and lightly spoke. It was hilarious to Kahani how he could do anything at that point, and the girl couldn't refuse, due to her cover. With his charm on, Kahani let his gentle gaze lightly fall upon the girl in a loving fashion. His smile was young, and sweet, giving him that innocent look. It could fool the oldest, and wisest in a tribe. He was truly, a good actor. "your so sweet" His arms laced around her thin waist, and his hand lightly run up her back as the other lift her chin. A light bending down due to the height difference, and Kahani softly let his lips meet with hers. Slight hesitation, and he pulled back, looking down to the girl.

That pulled the intruder out.

The boy let Leena go as she went to step towards her friend, and slipped his hands into his pockets. This girl, she smelled musky. More like a man than a woman, making him give her a disgusted look. The worst thing, it was her natural smell. He of all people knew how cold hearted vampires could be, but this one just smelled different. If you were to look through each and every vampire on that earth, you would have issues finding one that was worse than Kahani. He had spent over a lifetime killing, although the scent wasn't present on him. It was just obvious by the way he acted.

That smell eventually got to be far to much, and he had to say something. "Bitch, you smell terrible! It's worse than a bar, do you not shave!?" At that point of the speaking, he had covered his nose, and stare to the girl, bewildered.

[Jinx]

"Bitch, you smell terrible! It's worse than a bar, do you not shave!?" Cilu glared at him it wasnt excalty her fault." oh do shut the hell up man whore, leena can you make your boyfriend go home?" Leena tried not to but she couldnt help her self she had to just laugh very loudly. She almost buckled over she was laughing so hard, she had not laugh like that in forever she remembered. "what the hell is so funny?" Leena held up her finger as of to say one second when she finally caught her breathe " what is so funny? it is.....he is not my boyfriend" Cilu looked at them a little confused but then smiled evily " sooo you just feed him? i thought i sunk down low in the past years but really?" Leena lost all the emotion out of her face and she looked at Cilu. " you wouldn't understand how my life has been since i made that fucking deal" Cilu laughed as she slowly took another step forward.

" and you think my life has been better?" she laughed " well i dont know how it could have been better i love the feeling of takeing the last dorp of a humans stupid life" She looked at Leena and looked her up and down like she was checking her out that freaked leena out a bit then Cilu smiled and put her finger on her cheek. "you still human right leena? i wonder how you taste i am sure i could ask the one you feed, by the way how sad a vampire that needs feed. i like the ones that run" she looked at leena again " that means you need to start running" Leena looked at her like she was almost glaring her voice was dead serious and totally bitchy "I dont run" Cilu flipped her hair" pity oh well works for me" She took another step closer and now she was just a dew feet away from leena.
