Appearance: Lynessa Orsoan is in the prime of her youth, and thus in the prime of her beauty. She carries constantly with her an aura of youthful exuberance. Her hair long blond hair, wavy in texture, shines with health. Her brown eyes can be described as dark, yet intelligent with a perpetual flicker of amusement and laughter. Her smile, comprised of perfectly aligned white teeth (through the magic of a helpful sorcerer as a coming of age gift) is always revealed, for Lynessa always appears to be in a good mood. Her body, though thin, does not lack the shapely curves of a finely structured woman.

Personality: Lynessa was raised in the style of a courtier, and her personality most definitely reflects that upbringing. Her most defining trait is her grace, in both speech and movement. She is graceful in her speech, always being careful to whom she is speaking. She is never outwardly cruel to all but her truest enemies or rivals, and she does her best to never show displeasure but that succeed in that pursuit would be inhuman, and she is on occasion prone to the general moodiness that can be expected from all women, courtiers or not.

She is for the most part, a cunning individual who seeks to gain respect and the love of those in power. While she is not cruel, she has a base nature to please and make the smartest political moves at all times. She is not headstrong enough to believe that she is able to navigate the world on her own.

Though despite her ambition she is not a cruel, or heartless woman. Though she is well trained in flirtation, in gaining and holding the attention of young men she still, like many other young girls, hopes to fall in love with a handsome man of great fortune where she will live as his living wife thereafter.

Overall Nessa is a strong individual more than a match for many courtiers who are much older than her, and it is that which some say could land her the title of Princess. For she already holds many of the qualities one could want in an elected Princess.

History: Lynessa was born to privilege, as she is the descendant of a former King’s closet advisor who was gifted much indeed during his service. She is the only daughter of her father, and therefore she was a very welcome birth after three healthy sons. With so many luxuries available to her father, it was no surprise that he doted on his daughter whenever possible. She was educated well, learning courtly manners and developing an already keen mind. While she is not the brightest, Lynessa has enough knowledge to make informed opinions on some matters (but the grace and sensibility to keep quiet when she doesn’t).

And so, she was brought up in this fashion for so many years until she was about fourteen or so. It was then that her father came to realize that there was a reason why daughters always seemed to hold a special place in a father’s heart. It was advancement. A beautiful daughter was always an added luxury, particularly in a world where so many of his peers had equal or more material wealth than he himself did. Daughters could bring about strong unions through marriage. At this time, he began to plan for the coming of age ceremony in which she would be lavishly paraded around to all the eligible young men hoping to make a smart, match.

However, despite the interest in her hand, her father has rejected a good amount of respectable offers. Instead, he is waiting for the right match, Lynessa views this an intervention of Divine Providence believing that she Fate will lead her in the right direction.

Recently however, Lynessa has been sent to stay with a cousin who is supposedly connected to the people within the Castle. With her cousin’s influence it would be easy for Lynessa to make friends in high society possibly finding a match amongst the socialites of the Royal Castle. Against all odds, little Nessa caught the attention of several key figures and after months of rumors at court it the title of Princess was finally offered to her. Lynessa took the opportunity with pride and dignity, knowing that this was the first step in her ultimate advancement in the world.

Magic: Lynessa does not have an ounce of magic inside her body. Perhaps her greatest weakness, as this leaves her virtually defenseless.
