…The Me You Know…
Name: Aurek Eridius Nickname: Crusader How Old They Look: 30 Real Age: 35 Gender: Male Species: Human (Not many believe this)
…The Me You See…
Eyes: Blue but they seem to have a golden hue Hair: Short, straight black hair Skin: Decently tanned, a hint of a bronze tone, kind of rough and littered with small battle scars. Height: 6'4'' Weight: 235lbs Appearance: Very powerfully built, solid muscles encompass his form neatly and overall seems larger than life, a very imposing figure. Though for his intimidating presence, he's got this thing about him that'd make anyone nearby feel safe, and he looks friendly enough.
His outfits are mostly just casual/humble getups, linen button-up shirts and thick long pants, sturdy boots, anything that's comfortable. Though he does have an outfit suitable around nobles and such, an expensive long, copper-bronze shade shirt with a silver design webbed over it, and faded black, long pants, but he doesn't often wear it.
Now his armour is a bit of a complicated subject, he has a dozen suits but his main three are his Crusader, Warmonger and Dreadnought sets. Firstly his Warmonger, it's much trimmer and less cumbersome, the metal seems a little thinner relatively speaking and most of the plate is replaced with chain mail. It's economically designed, covering all critical areas with decent plated metal, such as his upper torso, biceps, thighs and calves, everything else is covered by thick chain mail. It's silver coloured with bronze etchings/trims. The Warmonger has a shield that's almost like a buckler that spans the length of his forearm, mostly just makes his left arm bigger, easier and safer to block with, along with being a bit of a weapon. Secondly, Crusader, the most used of his sets is a full suit of golden bronze armour, more bronze than gold, but provides a brilliant balance of high defence with decent movement due to a masterful design by a favourite blacksmith, nearly every part of him is armour plated. The Crusader's shield is a large round shield that he can hide most of himself behind if he tries, and its very resilient, useful for all occasions. Thirdly is the not-as-used Dreadnought set, it has enough metal on it to fully suit up four to five knights, it's stupidly heavy, the plates overlap and its awkward to move in, but he's survived some of the most ridiculous things in that armour, it makes him damn near invincible. It's a much, much darker shade of bronze all over, but has a few golden etchings. The Dreadnought's shield looks like it used to be the door to a dwarven fortress, its grotesque like the rest of the armour, designed as a tower shield more to protect Aurek's allies than himself, or provide a shocking strong wall. Most of the time he doesn't bother using it.
Most of his armour has a majestic blue cloak with dull gold hems accompanying it. His sword is a powerful bastard sword, large and thick, and has the potential to pack a serious punch, the bronze hilt's adorned selectively with scarlet gems with one in the pommel, and the blade is silvery-white mixed with a bronze colour scorched onto it. The blade was designed to be used with all his armours, so it has qualities letting it suit them all, such as the cross guard being a lot bigger so he can use them as makeshift handles to wield it deftly. The most dominant feature about the weapon is how doesn't seem to be able to break nor dull, not that the edge is especially sharp or anything, but he's knocked down a building with it once and it's still exactly the same.
…The Me You Want To Know…
Personality: Aurek's the hero-type, he's quite the gentleman with his beliefs of chivalry and honour, he's got quite a strong presence in all things he does. He's honest and kind, humble and wise, and he's very self-confident but not arrogant, though he can be a little reckless in his pursuit of justice as he's mostly simple-minded. History: Aurek started out as a simple farm boy on some nondescript farm in the middle of nowhere, but his destiny got a rapid recalculation when the farming village got in the way of a rampaging warband, completely leveling the place. Mere minutes later a contingent of knights galloped in and crashed into the enemy lines, trampling dozens, impaling a few on lances and hacking down the rest from their horses, rapidly reducing the warband to a few prisoners.
He was only one of few surviving members of the village, thus he was taken back with the knights to see that he was taken care of, giving another family the responsibility of taking care of him. But from that moment on Aurek was hooked on the image of the knights, at the time everything had seemed an indistinguishable blur, screams and flames and misery by the likes of which he never wished to experience again, or wish upon anyone else for that matter. To have his family, friends, everyone and everything he knew reduced to ashes and blood within an instant, he felt like there was a hole inside him that would never recover. So instead he tried to mend that hole by ensuring it didn't happen to others, he got a hold of himself and thrived towards becoming a knight with all his strength.
He ended up being one of the youngest squires anyone had ever seen, he was no prodigy but his sheer strength of will was overwhelming, an honourable Sir Keid took him under his wing and attempted to sate Aurek's desire for strength. Aurek earned his armour and his title pretty early on too, his seemingly infinite source of willpower continuously pressing him onwards, Keid had his work cut out for him just trying to give Aurek training befitting him. And he went on numerous little crusades with Keid across the countryside destroying all evil-doers and such like valiant heroes, nothing seemed to be able to stop him. Until the day he met his first experienced mage in combat.
It was like fighting someone that had twenty arms, each arm possessing a different weapon or shield and not knowing which or how many he was going to use. For the first time in his life his willpower couldn't help him, no matter how much he struggled or fought, the mage kept blasting him aside, binding him in magical shackles, sending him flying into the air. He was defenseless. Fortunately there had been a sharpshooter, the mage was laid low from several hundred yards away.
From that day forth Aurek expanded his studies to encompass magic as well, highly upset that he was so weak, he forced himself to succeed with magic and arms.
Though eventually, his furor died down to a light simmer, Aurek still vigilantly followed his path but this time without the zealotry of before, honing his skills as a knight and a mage so that he could mete out justice as needed. His endeavours had him all over the place, sieging corrupted castles and invading the valleys of necromancer and his undead hordes, so he had quite the active life with a sizeable degree of experience under his belt. Magic: Aurek's magic is based around his own person, enhancement and such, and he also uses something referred to as 'pattern' magic. Pattern magic is incredibly economic to one's magic reservoirs, the only magic spent is to maintain the pattern which doesn't take much at all, though one is effectively sealing off a portion of their magic that they can't use, and pattern magic is quite limited anyway. The more patterns one maintains the less magic overall they have to use. It's more or less the poor man's way of keeping up with the high and mighty mages out there, in terms of magic Aurek's not that strong.
He has magic constantly circulating in his blood and body, boosting his healing ability a little and cutting down fatigue, and increasing his overall resilience to harm. His regeneration isn't amazing, but it tends to keep his body stabilised so he doesn't bleed out or his organs don't shut down from stress to the body, he doesn't get disorientated very easily from fierce impacts and his wounds close a lot faster than normal.
He has a patterned magic he calls 'Armoury' where he can enfold suits of armour in magic and store them in their own little pocket dimension within his pattern of magic. Hence he can switch suits of armour relatively quickly in comparison, and he can carry up to ten or so full suits stored in his magic. He also has another pattern magic he calls the 'Phantom Lance', he can basically conjure a proper knight's lance fit for jousting, acts just like a normal wooden lance except soon as he releases the pattern the weapon fades and he can just conjure it whole again. Breaking the lance does cause a loss of magic as the pattern itself breaks. Other Facts:
