The castle had a glorious amount of fanfare today it seemed, great strips of coloured fabric decorating walls and otherwise ordinary and plain things, all different kinds of flags bearing various symbols were arrayed absolutely all over the place, quite fitting for a grand celebration yet the day didn't seem to have a deal of importance according to history. People were turning out all over the place, whether it be nobles arriving just for show, or commoners coming to bet and have fun, it seemed like anyone who was anyone wanted to come and see what was happening.
There was a grand arena set up in the enormous castle courtyard, vast stands on four different sides gazing upon a mostly rectangular field with a rather plain dividing the field length-ways, the important people sat in the prime seats of the stands while most others got to stand around and watch. At one end of the field was a knight bedecked in armour of a fiery tone of bronze and gold, holding aloft a large lance aiming straight at the heavens and mounted on a decorated horse. The other end was a similarly brilliant knight in highly polished armour, giving him an overall silver tone, lance in air and mounted on his steed, awaiting the flag-bearer.
It was a jousting tournament, through and through, the prize of prestige and riches able to draw the attention of all respectable knights and such. It probably didn't make a lot of sense to gallop full-force down a range and smash a stick into your opponent for fun, yet there were a tonne of knights turning up to join in, as noted by the sheer amount of flags bearing emblems of each knight.
"Four silver on the Crusader," one peasant's voice was heard in the masses. "You're mad, Sir Evenhart will knock him flying," another said.
To such armoured soldiers as knights, crashing a few lances into one's chest wasn't all that painful, the sudden jolt always stung a little but you could get used to it. The one thing the knights definitely couldn't get used to...
The flag-bearer waved his flag and the knights charged, picking up speed and leveling their lances, traveling at an impressive speed just as they met in the middle. With the ear splitting crack and shatter of wood, the protest of the metal it was assailing, there was suddenly a tremendous clatter of iron as the Crusader crashed into the dirt. His lance had laid his opponent out flat off the back of his saddle, but it took him a little while to fall off, crashing somewhere near the end of the range where the Crusader began.
"Holy... crap..." Aurek coughed violently as he attempted to sit up, feeling a complete and total wreck from impacting the ground in a suit of heavy iron plates, eventually though the medic crew came over to him with a stretcher and carried him off the field and set him down nearby.
...Indeed, a knight could take a hundred lances and still refuse to give up, but one acquaintance with the ground and you'd think otherwise.

Dea watch as everything in the arena and was not in the mood to see any more but it was something new and it made the people happy. But Dea didn't want to get into it as he went and looked around as he came to the area were the king was siting. Dea would stand behind the unfilled chair of the queen as he looked over the area and just watch as to see this one knight fight Hmmm This man fights well Dea said to him self and wonder how much longer he can kept this up

Two slim white arms reached up, and slowly stretched out to the side as the young girl yawned, her eyes squinting with the morning's light. Her legs were tangled in the sheets, showing the girl's left leg as she shifted to her side, and covering her gown encased torso. Mumbling her original 'come on Genira, get up.' the young woman pushed herself up, and swung her delicate feet off the bed to dangle just over the floor. Pushing the blankets from her legs, and stretching once more, the girl stood, rubbed her eyes from their morning crust, and faintly opened her eyes. She was in one of the castles rooms, which was given to her when she had become a maid. At that point, the sun was hardly peeking over the horizon, casting it's light upon the castle's outer stone wall.
Genira stumbled forward tiredly, and rest her hand on the side of her closet's door frame. Pulling out her original maid's outfit, the girl slipped off her night gown, and quickly replaced it with her work uniform. Walking to the mirror, and sitting down on a small bench that sat before it, she shuffled through a few of her personal items, and soon pulled out a brush, and a black ribbon. Taming her mangled hair, she pulled back all but the two blonde strips around her face, with her bangs along with, and tied her hair into a pony tail, held up with a black bow. The end of the girl's hair went out in a light flip, and two fox ears tucked perked up.
Satisfied with her appearance, Genira went off to work for the day. On that particular one, the castle was holding a jousting tournament. Personally, Genira didn't go to these things. But due to her medical experience, she was used as one of the nurses for injured knights. The girl always seemed to be wanted for something important ever since she joined, which was just the week prior.
Her steps were quick, appearing on the scene just in time. One of the knights had already been injured, and were coming in on a stretcher. The girl's light purple gaze scanned over the man just before she approached. "Genira, this one is Sir Aurek." The girl offered a small nod before crouching down next to the man. "Lets get your armor off." Her voice was sweet, and soft, almost calming. She had an exotic beauty, and at such a young age was so inelegant. Golden locks at the front, brunette at the back, light purple eyes, and fox ears. It was all due to her species.
Reaching to help him take the armor off, she lightly spoke once more with her melodious tone. "Where does it hurt the most?"

Aurek was just a mass of grumbles and groans as he laid their motionless on the stretcher, one arm over his stomach and the other at his side. His head was still spinning a little trying to recover from shock, so he couldn't tell where he was or who was next to him all of a sudden. He did happen to catch the name Genira though, not ringing any bells but one could guess his 'bell' was pretty screwed over right now, muscles all tight and tense as they were still trying to absorb the impact.
Though there was one thing for sure, he was in the medic area much to his own dismay, as there was one thing Aurek wasn't fond of was his manly image getting damaged by needing to be cared for. Sure he wasn't prideful or arrogant of the sort, though he still preferred being the 'strong soldier' archetype in everyone's minds.
"Hurts everywhere, that Evenhart hits like a beast," Aurek mumbled, attempting to sit up again to try and regain some of his presence, maybe show that it wasn't that bad. Except the armour definitely weighed him down. The girl looked like she was reaching for one of the clasps on his torso plate, but Aurek gently intercepted said hand with a gauntleted finger, mustering a bit of concentration for a moment.
Quite suddenly with a few metal clunks, Aurek's magnificent armour jolted a few times before blatantly disappearing, leaving him in mostly casual garments. He then sat up a little unsteadily, straining his muscles a little.

With a ragged cough he was knocked from his dream world. His body ached and his chest hurt. Groggely he stood up, walked to the edge of the ally he'd fallen asleep and looked out into the morning light. Not very many people out today. He thought to him self, stepping into the warm light of the day. His didgets brushed the grime from the night before. How foolish he'd been to save his last coppers for dinner and not a room.
Walking down the side street whistling tunelessly he stopped by a lonely apple stall. A plump woman had her back to him and was busying her self with what seemed to be a child. With quick thinking he "Barrowed" an apple and waltzed away. What seemed like hours passed by his feet began to ache, shuffling around a bit longer he found a seat beside the stands to rest his poor, exausted feet. Thats when he noticed the two men mounted on steeds clad in noble armor. Nothing happend for a moment so he decided to rest his eyes for a brief second.
Leaning back, arms folded, and mouth wide open. The old man snores softly his eyes sealed shut and just a tad of drool dripped from his mouth. He'd taken a seat against the side of the stands waiting for the Flag people and fallen alseep. With the clash of Lance on metel he stired a bit, but didn't wake. Finally being prodded by children his old eyes opened up. " Wha.. Whe... Oh.. Yes thats right. " He stood up, leaned back with a streach and popped his back. Purple and Red orbs scanned the crowd. He stepped away and went to mingle in with the masses. He stopped turned a coupla times. Thats the exact moment he knew he was lost. He tugged on a rude fellows arm only to get brushed off. With a huff he followed the man back to the stands.

"Hurts everywhere, that Evenhart hits like a beast," The man began. A light laugh came up, and Genira brushed her hair behind her ear. "Ya. I wouldn't be able to do that. I'm to big of a wimp." Offering a bit more of a laugh, the girl reached over towards one of the metal clasps, all to help the man get his heavy armor off.
Genira's hand was lightly pushed away as she went to pull off his armor, only for the man to do it himself. By then he had sat up, and looked as if he were going to pass out. Only expected when one was just hit to the ground. Personally, Genira would have not wanted to be moved. She didn't deal with pain very well. This one though, he seemed stronger than most. The only other one she saw was wining about how much it hat hurt, and pained him to move. He pushed himself up on his own, and seemed to be sitting up without to much of a problem.
A man soon walked into the room, as if he had owned the place. Only thing that ran through the girl's mind was 'who is this guy?' Looking up to him as he began to speak, Genira did the first thing that she was told to do. Keep all others out. "Pardon me sir, but you are not aloud to be in the medic's tent. My apologies." Looking back over to the injured man, lifted his chin, and held up a finger. "Please follow my finger." Moving it back and fourth in front of her own delicate face, the girl carefully watched his eyes, being sure to catch everything.

He planed to Confront the man for his rudness. Some how he felt that it was not always like this. He tapped on his shoulder when the Rich figure had stopped to talk with his friends. "I think you owe me an apology" Mistake one. The man turned laughed and gave Bjorn a hard Shove. He stumbled back and landed on his rump. With a laugh from the small crowed, the man turned back to them and began to talk again. This time he picked up a rock, taking carefull aim at the man. His lips moved soundlessly and the rock spun then shot forth and stuck him square between the shoulders.
The man Wasn't happy about the rock. he'd chosen a rock that didn't work and this gave Bjorn a bit of trouble. He was grabbed by the bigger man along with a friend and drug away kicking and shouting at them. After a little ways he was back in the alley he'd slep in. With a one two he was thrown into onto the stone cobbed back street. A sharp pain jutted through his chin on contact. Now they were laughing this caused him more distress. He began to mumble softly the debris of trash around their feet glowed softly until the five or so pieces were bright red. To dumb or to proud to turn tail and run the men kept watching the old bagger with awh. The begger, bjorn, turned to the two brutes his lips never haulting as he read the spell from memory. Then he stuck his hand out and closed it. From a distance a ball of fire shot up and a thunderous rumble bellowed out from the disaster area.
He woke up for the third time today being carted off to near by medics. "I'm alright, really why are you carting me away?" One pointed to his hand which was now missing a pinky and ring finger. "Oh" The blood had been haulted but none the less they were missing. He was set down next to a young lady and a nobleman who was loudly complaining.

There was someone else talking to him all of a sudden, causing Aurek to jump a little as he looked upon a figure of a man, again Aurek was a bit addled so he didn't quite make the connection, merely just nodding to the man. Generally speaking Aurek respected anyone who took up a warrior's trade, having the courage to square off against someone in combat, and not be afraid of the possibility of being beaten senseless. So he would oblige for the time being.
"That guy looks familiar somehow..." Aurek said mostly to himself, before he felt his face get turned by the chin and confronted with a finger. "Please follow my finger." "Hmm? Which one?" Aurek asked, looking serious for a moment before breaking out a broad smile as he finally got a good look at his medic. He blinked a few times, his vision clearing up a bit and he stared at the fox ears for a moment, before looking back at the girl's finger. "I should be alright..." Aurek assured, but he trailed off mysteriously. His muscles were running out of juice, too busy trying to heal themselves. "Then again..." Aurek begrudgingly admitted, looking a little unhappy, before his eyes went a little hazy and he fell back into the stretcher, placing a hand over the middle of his chest where the lance had struck.
"Sir, since both competitors were unhorsed they're arranging a rematch," a messenger said as he arrived, "Sir Evenhart is waiting." Aurek mentally cursed.
Indeed, back over at the field, Sir Evenhart waited on his horse with a fresh lance, armour a little scuffed from the collision with the ground but it had received a quick polish by his squire to try and maintain Evenhart's glorious image.

"That guy looks familiar somehow..." The girl's ears picked that up, just as they did everything else. "I don't know him." she said with a light smile, lifting the man's chin. His vision was off, obviously when he asked which finger. Lightly releasing his chin as the man fell back, Genira quickly looked to his chest, where he held his hands over. "Let me see." the girl lightly stated while removing the man's hands, and lifting his shirt. Lightly running her fingers over the man's chest, where the bruise had grown, Benira let her exotically purple eyes look up to meet the man's, the spoke once more. "I'm going to heal you chest. is that okay?"
Usually she asked, and later healed even if they said no. The girl just hated it when people were in pain. It made her want to help them even more. Ears perking forward, and her eyes shifting up to the other knight, she listened to one of the other men's words. Shaking her head no, Genira strictly spoke, seeming to know what she was thinking. "He is not going out there right now. The other knight will just have to wait a moment." Instantly after the girl spoke, she heard someone placed behind her, next to one of the other men in the tent.
Looking back, she looked to the new man, his fingers lopped off. "Could we get a bucket of hot water over here!?" The girl yelled across the tent, sighing as she lightly liften the man's hand, not moving her knees from pointing towards the first man. "Hold your arm up to keep to much blood flow from coming towards your fingers, causing it to bleed again." Turning back to Aurek, the girl sighed, and awaited his answer.

He was caught off guard being attended too so soon. He was about to strike up a conversation with the young man next to him. Or was he going to dump a bucket over his head? His hand really didn't hurt and minor magic had been put into place when his fingers were blown off. His clothes seemed alright burnt in a few areas but okay. From what he'd gathered the men who he tried to blow to shreds had escaped with almost no harm. His spell had gone wrong some where along the lines.
At the girl's instruction his hand was held up, the minor magic wasn't the greatest and a little blood had seeped through and dirtied his sleeve. "I don't know why I'm here, it's not like I lost something important. I can't even feel them anymore. " His unease about being confined to a room with the sick and injured almost bubbled out. But he remained cool and didn't begin to rant. His pinky finger was blow past the knuckle digging into his hand, and his ring finger had only lost the tip. Minor burns were on the rest of the didgets. He studdied the quietly looking at the damage he'd done. Next time He'd focus , and not blow himself up. The spell he had ment to do was only to set the pieces of rubish on fire not to explode. Only a minor set back.
There was another fellow in the room he was laying down next to the girl. His orbs gobbled up his image, quickly. Then he looked about his expression going lax. "Where did they take me? Why is there armor scattered to and fro, and do we have meals? " His stomach rumbled, and his eyes swept the room. Nothing else was very catch in the little hospital area. "When can I go?"
