The castle was always a place where maids scurried along, doing their jobs in hope of finishing early. Butlers readied the dining room for meals, and cooks made huge feasts for the Royalty in which lived there. Elegance, the single word to describe the castle’s features. So large, always clean due to hard work, and always seeming to have something different there for one to work with. Every day, the plants were ether watered, or re-planted if even one imperfection were to come to their leaves.
The girl’s hood covered her beautiful facial features, and the cloth danced around her small, yet slim body. Black heels lightly showed with every quickened step. Darkened colored pants stretched down, tickling the top of small feet, and starting just above the hips. A fitted white tank top covered a hour glass torso, giving the fist glance to her body a stunning appearance, if the cape were not present.
A light click echoed down the castle’s halls, fading into the marble surroundings after several moments of traveling. Silenced when walking over carpet, and faint, and hardly noticeable upon the hardened floors. Ina’s steps were light, and swift, the girl wanting to get to her destination quickly. Going through the castle was one of her tactics to avoid the man of her nightmares. Leslie.
He had followed her ever since the girl escaped from that dreaded place he called their wedding grounds. The haunting memory always lingered within her head. It was always there, just never left from it’s solid location. Some days, she didn’t remember the face, or about how her past was. But others, she just simply ran, knowing that he would eventually catch up if she didn’t get moving. It had been so many years ever since the last encounter, but it was sure that he was still coming. The man was crazed.
Her light blue hair lingered over her shoulder, long, and lightly curved on the ends. Two strips of her long hair stretch down, perfectly straight next to her cheeks, with only her tapered bangs to accent them. The girl’s light pink lips were clearly visible in the castle’s light, and her eyes shadowed, yet still somehow seeming to shine through with her bright blue gaze. To one’s first look of her face, the girl was sweet, innocent… An exotic beauty with her hair color, and the soft structure of her face.
Her finger tips lightly ran along the smoothed walls, her fingers only bumping up with the door’s frame, and coming off of the wall every time a picture came along. She knew that she wasn’t supposed to be in there, yet there she was. Avoiding to much noise by her soft steps that was slowed to a quick walk. Only the best of hearing could listen to the girl’s natural dance. With every step, as if it were planned out, Ina was so graceful.
A left, and a right, then right again. The girl was lost. This place, it was so big. So many rooms, and not a single window in her sight. If there was, the girl would have jumped out by then, getting away from the castle before she was found. Bringing up her step lightly, and moving to the carpet so she wasn’t so loud, Ina quickly searched for her escape from the castle, which didn’t appear to be there as of the time.

The heart was such a fragile thing, even for something as strong as a demon. Not all demons were the same, and personality was such a breath taker. Most demons were horrible things that wanted nothing more than to see you bleed, while others wanted to prove to the world that it wasn’t so much as a stereotype – that there was some good of their race. Even though Rayven is a demon, his personality was one that shattered those stereotypes. But would people listen? No. Rayven had to be careful who he met. Even though people may not believe a commoner over the king, they may believe more than one incident, you know? His job was dangerous, being the species in his position, but he was managing. Work like this was something that distracted him from his heartache.
Recently, Rayven’s been isolating himself a little more frequently – as his mind started to travel back into those horrid memories of his. He couldn’t just let them go; they were a part of him, and being someone of his species, he’d live for a very long time with these. Why not embrace this hell? The pain… It kind of showed too. He was less visible to the people, more isolated now than ever before. Just hearing him talk long was a miracle, and seeing him smile truthfully was one in a million now. Actually, no one really cared like that. Most of it was just a set up in order to get on his good side. Some people did care, just… Not really what Rayven had hoped for. So far, the king seemed “moody”, but still did his job. He still did those damned papers that people sent in. He still corrected laws, made laws, checked the military, did so much shit. He may slack off every now and then, but Rayven doing his work was a positive. There may not be much free time for him anymore, but he was getting this work done. It was for the people, it was for Kaharini. To make this place a better and safer environment to live in. Now if only the stereotypes and hatred would go away, it would make his life a whole lot easier.
With a strong sigh, Rayven closed a book and wrote done some things on a piece of paper before folding it up and stamping it. There, that should be the last of these things for the night. Turning his head slightly, he glanced at the window, not seeing snow falling like it usually did. Guess Mother Nature had other plans for this night and decided to just play it nice. Maybe this was a sign for him to go out in the gardens and get some fresh air? Then maybe go to bed and or return to his desk and finish the rest of the paperwork he was saving for the morrow. Eh, whatever. A little walk could do him some good. Getting off of his chair, Rayevn walked to the window, looking outside. Glancing at the time on the granite figurine outside of the deceased queen. God, he missed her. He wasn’t attached to her in a ‘lover’ kind of way; but as one of a great friend. Boy… Recently he’d been moody and thinking of the past so damn much. Maybe… yeah, maybe a walk outside would help him calm down internally and maybe be more social? It was worth a shot.
Removing himself from the window, Rayevn walked over to the wall and opened his wardrobe. Sighing, he took a black one that had a white scarf attached to it and wrapped it around his figuring. It was night so… It would be a little chilly outside; though if it was actually nice, he’d remove his cloak. Ah, the good thing of being prepared. Closing it and walking to the door, Rayven opened it and told the two guards standing post outside to just stay; he was going for a stroll and would return momentarily. Surprisingly, the guards listened and off Rayven went with no interruptions. His goal: the garden outside. Though when he turned the corner and his attention resided on the carpet below as he walked; he bumped into someone and almost tumbled forward. Shaking his head and regaining balance, Rayven looked up to see who it was. A slight blush appeared on his face, not of love, but of embarrassment, “Apologies. I didn’t see you.” Rayven wasn’t going to lie – he wasn’t watching where he was going.

Ina knew that she wasn't supposed to be there, and that if she were to get caught? that would just be worse. The girl wasn't one to get in trouble, for one, she avoided it. Conflict, it just wasn't her thing. But when she had to do it, fore the safety of her own self, the girl had to do this. It wasn't the most brilliant of ideas, the girl would admit that for sure, but at the point where she was thinking, it seemed logical. Human nature, it was always to keep you safe. Get yourself out of pain. If someone was to grab your arm, and twist it back, would you not attempt to get out of the position? This was just another way of doing just that, but in a stalling manor. Leslie, he was stronger than most would think. Leslie, such the intimidating name! It made people want to put flowers on him, which didn't help with the man's anger issues.
Rather than continuing on straight in the labyrinth of halls, Ina went with her instinct. there was just a feeling that drew her to a certain part of the castle. Why? Well, that would be unknown until she got there... Or perhaps it wouldn't be known at all? So many questions swarming through the girl's head, filling the moment with confusion. the one that was always present with such an active mind as her's. Yet for now, there was the objective. Avoid the guards, get to the location, see what was there, and get out. That was all.
Her cape bit at her heels, like a wolf nipping at it's master's heels. Black heels lightly touched the carpets, softening her step, and bringing the girl to carefully look about. Biting her bottom lip, Ina took a small pause. It had been a while ever since she ever had to navigate herself through a large building. So many hall ways, and so may people to avoid. Maids, guards, and even Royalty. Royalty, most likely it would be the worst to run into. Guards would be alerted, and come running. The girl would most likely be thrown into jail, especially if there were something to happen. Something being her accidentally bumping into them, scaring one of the Royalty, or even running. Some had swords, that just wasn't something someone would want to deal with.
The girl had been looking behind her, and at the least would she be paying attention to where she was going. The slight swagger of her hips was always there, especially when she was trying to keep looking behind her. An upcoming corner, the girl didn't so much as hear anyone coming. She wasn't paying attention to that direction, but rather to behind her. It was so easy to be caught off guard by someone that was behind her, even more threatening in such a high security place. Many would question how the girl got in. Well, that was the easy part. Just slide in through one of the opened windows, and into the building. She wasn't going through one of the heavily guarded doors.
It happened so quickly that the girl didn't know what to think. She had run into a taller figure, quickly catching herself, and looking behind her. With widened eyes, the girl slapped her hands over her mouth, and stared forward to the man, blue eyes widened as she gazed forward. “Apologies. I didn’t see you.” Wait... She wasn't being yelled at for being there? Well, might as well apologies right there and then. Quickly bowing, and upholding the position, Ina's long blue hair hung over her shoulders as a pale pink covered her cheeks through embarrassment. "I am so sorry!" Standing back up, her cape still hiding the girl's body, Ina rammbled on while staring down, and brushing her hair behind her ear many times.
"I know I shouldn't be here, but I was just going to pass through. I didn't take anything, but rather just got lost in the halls." Rambling on for a few more moments, a little to quickly and quiet to make out, the girl's sweet young voice stopped. Tapping the toe of her heel onto the ground, Ina looked up through her bangs out of shame, and said the last few words of her apology. "I'm sorry."
