Did this girl ever stop talking? Seriously, he didn’t even think she herd him asking for her name as she kept wagging her tough like their was no tomorrow. Then she was on him completely, her legs squeezing into his.
"You were trying? At what?", she inquired as she turned her face into a much less serious position. She was loosening up, as he could see with her smiling genuinely and her arms breaking their defensive placement. Was she seriously still trying at this? "At least I am not afraid to touch you. You just don't even do anything!" Well, that answered that question. Really, why was he avoiding this? It should be a fairly boring way to waste his night off. Even so…
So he went off into his own little shpele on roses, after she finished laughing of course. Still, as she stared at him it was quite obvious she was entranced. Did this woman have a split personality? She may, she may.
But he broke out of that thought circuit when she put her hands on his legs. It wasn’t a terribly big step, but it showed she was still playing. "Really? I just figured that it would be ironic, seeing how my name is Rose, and the perfume is Rose." So, she was Rose. Nice name, hadn’t met a Rose yet. His next statement, however, seemed to throw her for a loop. With the first time he had seen her blush or withdraw, she began rambling again.
"Well you see, usually I am not really who I am... If that makes any sense. The fallen angel part of me usually takes over, making me wear things like this. I usually wear a baggy shirt, and some quick pants..."
With that, she began to unzip her jacket. Wow that earlier light work must have just been so THIS would catch him off guard. But, fortunately, he she took out were a set of cloths "These ones, excuse me for a second."
“Um,” this whole thing was a tad confusing. “Certainly.”
She went behind the tree, preparing herself so he couldn’t see a single inch of her. This was normal, but some bit of his mind couldn’t help but hover on the whole game concept. He sat there, patently, until she came out from behind. The whole bulky jacket ensemble had been done with, replaced with a thin white t-shirt and a pair of darker pants. “ There,” he smiled. “That’s more your style.”
He stood up swiftly, making sure not to hit the tree with a spin, and walked over to her. “ So,” he stated. “ since that little fallen angel is gone, what is it you want to do?”

“Um,” He was obviously confused. “Certainly.” If it were a joke, all to win, she would be winning. Well, unfortunately, the girl wasn't joking. She was like a little kid, and to all truth, she was still used to the older days. the days where she flinched every time a man walked towards her, from the fear of her people. women, how poorly they were treated. To the men of her village, women were but simple toys that you played with, then threw off to the side. Terrible. She knew nothing of this kingdom, other than that there was a prince, and no other royalty to be known of.
“ There,” The man began as Rose straitened her clothing, and spun in a circle. “That’s more your style.” "Yup!" The girl lightly pulled off the jacket, the cloth feeling strange against her skin, tossed it off into the air, and orbed it off to a safe place. The girl pulled off the heels, and tossed them behind the bushes with a slight frown. She hated the things, all they were good for was hurting one's feet, and possibly increasing the chance of falling. She hated them.
“So,” The man started after pulling himself up. “Since that little fallen angel is gone, what is it you want to do?” He had began to walk over to her, but Rose noticed the swift movement first. Quickly dropping down, and hiding her face, with a frown, the girl cowered away, and quickly spoke. "Don't hurt me!" It was quiet, but still herd. Rose pushed herself against the tree, attempting to 'get away' from him.
She paused, and looked up to Cana. "Sorry," She began while standing from her position, and crossing her arms. "It's a reaction I picked up..." She fell silent, staring off to the ground. After a few moments, the girl shrugged, and her eyes shifted up to meet with cana's, without once moving her head. "I duno. I was originally headed to gather a few gems. I don't know if it would be safe for you though."

She certainly wasn’t what she had been earlier, that’s for sure
"Yup!" she said with a slightly cartoonish spin. She tossed off her jacket, fully revealing the outfit she had donned, along with her heeled shoes that Cana had always found tacky. Honestly, why did so called attractive clothing have to be so damm painful to wear. Like bow ties tied tight enough to choke, or those royal sandals that caused you to fall every time you moved.
Then, and this was the clincher, when he simply tried to openly approach her she fell prone, covering her face in what seemed to be a desperate attempt at self-defense. "Don't hurt me!", she seemed to scream as she crawled away on her back, pushing herself into a tree. He took about half a step back, a tad startled by the extreme response she had given. Here? In Kaharini? Why, they had a tranquilizer dipping female archer kidnapping three men a night, along with the crazy court-whores who used their influence to hide their little endeavors. Seriously, if anybody had be worried in this kingdom it was the men. And even if she was trying to “run”, she was obviously not very good at it.
“ Whoo, terribly sorry. Didn’t mean to startle you.” He held out his hand in a peaceful gesture. “ Not exactly the kind of reaction I was expecting, especially here in Kaharini. We’re almost all gentlemen, although there are plenty who don’t return the favor.” He didn’t really know what to do. This was a stranger situation then this half of him had ever seen.
"Sorry," she finally answered once she turned her face upward again. She finally got back up, thankfully, and continued with "It's a reaction I picked up..."
“ And were did you pick that up? Not here, certainly. Your homeland?” he knew of a few of the more masculine city-states that might spawn this kind of activity. “ Yun? Dysterium? The Iron League?” he pondered, moving in slowly and cautiously so as not to set her off again. “ I don’t want to hurt you, you know.” He spoke slowly. “ Only trying to help.” She seemed to get out of it fairly quickly, though, as she shook her head and spoke normally. "I duno. I was originally headed to gather a few gems. I don't know if it would be safe for you though."
He laughed at the prospect. “ Seriously? Dangerous for me isn’t picking up shiny rocks. It’s my job to fix the kingdom’s issues, so I’ve got a fair bit of experience for my age. I’d love to come.”

“ Whoo, terribly sorry. Didn’t mean to startle you.” He held out his hand, but Rose just lifted herself up with no help but the tree behind her. “ Not exactly the kind of reaction I was expecting, especially here in Kaharini. We’re almost all gentlemen, although there are plenty who don’t return the favor.” A light nod, and she attempted to explain herself. She had picked up the reaction, after many years of living in her homeland. It was hard, but the girl had to live there. She had to take care of her dieing father, who may have been the nicest person that she ever knew. Rose, she made haste with crossing her arms, and looking to the ground.
He had asked where she picked it up, and listed off some of the less abusive lands. "I came from Suharina Kingdom... I am sure how they treat women there. I had to guard my face so many times, that I learned if I ran I just got hit harder." A small shrug, and Rose attempted to change the subject, not wanting to talk about it. She mentioned what she was going to do, giving the least detail as possible. In all truth, she didn't want to talk about her past. It was to hard to remember, putting her down in a slight depression was all that the thoughts did.
“ Seriously? Dangerous for me isn’t picking up shiny rocks. It’s my job to fix the kingdom’s issues, so I’ve got a fair bit of experience for my age. I’d love to come.” A bright smile covered the girl's lips, making her forget to tell him the other details. Such as the land was covered in greater demons, and was a few days away. Well, he would find out soon enough! Quickly grasping his hand, the girl bounced off, dragging him with. "Okay! It's this way!" And the journey began, Rose leading the two off towards the mountains as a shortcut to the location.

"I came from Suharina Kingdom... I am sure how they treat women there. I had to guard my face so many times, that I learned if I ran I just got hit harder.” She shrugged, and hastly changed the subject to her next activity.
"Okay! It's this way!", she shouted as she lead him along, his own legs propelling him across the plains. Deep, deep inside, something was shouting at him to stop. He wasen’t going to get back in time, and the whole palace would be in an uproar.
Shut up, he thought. Any absence is just going to get attributed to a spur of the moment quest or something. He had a few of those stocked up, just in case.
“Tallyhoo!” he shouted as they ran along, hand in hand, towards her destination. This was DEFINATLY the best night out he’d had all year. Sure, last year was a bit better once, but that was a well worn and slightly taboo memory. (aka No posting it yet)

“Tallyhoo!” So he really was going to come? Well, that made Rose happy. It had been a while ever since she had company on her travels, but she did worry about the people at the castle. Would they be mad? Well, she could always come and 'excuse his absence' so to speak. So the girl wasn't really worried about it, due to the girl's little thought that ran through her head of how she would get him out of it.
A skip in her step, the girl lead the two strait up the hill, and around the winding path. Rose paused at the top of the mountain, and released Cana's had. She bent over, attempting to catch her breath while stuttering out a few words between her breaths. "I... Have got... To get... In shape..." Brushing her blonde hair back, and looking up to the sky, rose had noticed how high the moon was in the sky. Standing up, and rubbing her eyes, Rose looked to cana, and smiled. "Want to go a bit further than camp?"

"I... Have got... To get... In shape...", she panted as they finally reached the top of the mountain they were climbing. She was obviously tired; that other bit of her didn’t seem to share her energy. She brushed her hair back, kinda cute, and took a peek in the sky. The night was rather pleasant, with a wide array of stars. Just like at home, only without the forge smoke mucking it up.
“ Well, that was a pretty tough climb you just took.” He tried to sound sympathetic, but a bit of that “not so bad” air still broke though. “ Nice night, eh? “
"Want to go a bit further than camp?"
“Sure, I can only go as far as you want to. I don’t know the way, after all.” Wait half a moment…
“Camp with what?” he inquired as he pointed to their backs. “ I wasn’t exactly planning on camping, and neither were you by the looks of it. I can maybe rig us up a shelter, but it would be sized for one person.”

“ Well, that was a pretty tough climb you just took.” He attempted to sound sympathetic, but in all reality, to Rose it seemed that he was in superhuman shape. He just hardly even held up a pant! It wasn't fair. "Coming from the one in shape!" She joked while letting on a light laugh. The girl brushed her hair behind her ear, caught her breath, and looked up to the sky. It was night fall, but the moon was still bright enough to send a yellow tinted light across her face. The moon reflected in her rustic eyes, veiling her eyes with the reflection.
“ Nice night, eh? “ Rose nodded, and looked to Cana while crossing her arms behind her back. A light smile, and a tilt of the head, Rose spoke of going forward a bit. “Sure, I can only go as far as you want to. I don’t know the way, after all.” The girl nodded, and bounced on. She would find a nice and dense location, where camping would be easy, and mostly dry. The girl was sure that she would find a good location, one that would even be comfortable for the prince.
“Camp with what?” Rose paused, and turned to look at the man. What did he mean by camp with what? They didn't need any little camp sight. All they needed was a fire and the trees. “ I wasn’t exactly planning on camping, and neither were you by the looks of it. I can maybe rig us up a shelter, but it would be sized for one person.” Rose covered her mouth, and laughed. "do you need a shelter? We have the trees." Walking on iwht a playful smile on her lips, the girl let a little bit of obvious sarcasm out. "I know how much you would want to sleep next to me, but I am not being confined to a small space."
The girl paused, and let her eyes shift around. "This will do." A small tree-sheltered area expand for a few feet in front of the two. It was dry, and suitable for many to sleep in. Rose crouched down, and set down a few sticks that she quickly gathered. standing up, the girl quickly pointed her hand to the sticks, and lit the fireplace. Brushing off her hands, and pulling out a knife, the girl dug a small barrier around the fire, keeping it from burning some of the dried grass, and possibly burning them to death.
"Do you still want to build a shelter? I am sleeping in the trees."

"Coming from the one in shape!” she laughed as they stood staring at the sky. There was something magical about space, the kind of thing that made you wonder. What were these stars; creatures like us or just balls of light? Whatever the case, her eyes were catching the moon. Whale some might conceder it romantic, he felt a bit creeped out. It was catlike, in the literal dead-mouse sense of the word. “Well, fighting of giant carnivorous plants and wandering the desert will do that to you, and of course a reptilian muscle mass doesn’t hurt.” He spoke wistfully, still consumed by the celestial dance.
The moved on, across the downward slope towards an isolated cluster of trees. Perfect, just the right place for a spread shelter. "Do you need a shelter? We have the trees." Was she mocking him? If so, which was true, she didn’t seem to realize it. After all, the big cover your mouth thing was a giveaway to anybody else. "I know how much you would want to sleep next to me, but I am not being confined to a small space." This next phrase she spoke with acidic sarcasm. Sleep next to her? Well, yes that was his original thought, but in the end he decided it wasn’t worth the risk of losing this grand adventure. He’d let her take it and make another with some fallen limbs. “Yes,” he responded with the same tone and grin. “Because I’ve been trying to get with you all night, right?”
They reached the grove, Rose’s eyes darting back and forth momentarily. This will do.", she stated as she leaped up as she picked out one of the shorter trees. Then, she never ceased to surprise him; she started a small fire with her hands. Sadly, the thing was pitiful, but he didn’t really need it. Still, that barrier was pretty thin. Cana unsheathed his short sword, and dug the pit twice as deep, and twice as wide. There, that MIGHT actually protect them, considering how dry the area was.
“ Actually,” he responded to her latest comment with a peak towards another tree, one with some low lying limbs. “ I think I will. Sad to say it, but trees just don’t do it for me.”
Taking cover behind the tree, he pulled off the largest piece of cloth he had, his shirt, and tied the sleeves tightly around the trunk. From their , he had two side protection; enough that he’d be comfy with a few leaves. He pulled up some, careful to stay out of her view, and them built them into a pile. The whole process took, oh, 15 minutes. It was already very late (or early, he couldn’t tell).
“ Gonna hit the sack,” he called out. “We have a long day ahead of us.”

“Well, fighting of giant carnivorous plants and wandering the desert will do that to you, and of course a reptilian muscle mass doesn’t hurt.” A small shrug formed from Rose's shoulders as she stared up. "I am better at dodging rather than fighting." She had done so much dodging in her life, the girl must have been considered a master of it. After all, she didn't carry any permanent scars, due to her swift movements, other than when a human came after her when she was happy. It made her flinch as Cana saw before.
“Yes,” he began. “Because I’ve been trying to get with you all night, right?” Rose sarcastically rolled her eyes, and crossed her arms. "I know, you just can't get your eyes off of me!" A small final laugh, and the girl quickly made a fire while laughing slightly. It was quick, for she didn't need to do much more than flick her wrist, and dig a little hole. Anyone could make a fire, but she could make one extremely quickly, and it was blazing with well sized flames and a good amount of heat. "I don't know how you contain yourself." She added onto her sarcasm while grinning over her shoulder to him.
“ Actually,” The prince began, “ I think I will. Sad to say it, but trees just don’t do it for me.” Yes, she was sweet and playful, but the girl was filled with sarcasm. "And I was just thinking you would want to cuddle." A light laugh, the Rose began to make the shelter. It was a perfect beginning to a shelter, something that would be taken into note by an amateur. Some rainy nights she had to hide away in a shelter, every night until it stopped. She had found how to do it quickly, and professionally.
Listening to the man make his shelter, and finish about five minutes after her, Rose shrugged, and tossed a few leaves into the shelter. “ Gonna hit the sack,” He began. “We have a long day ahead of us.” He was hiding around the tree? What? Was he streaking about the forest? Rose laughed, and quietly spoke. "What? Afraid to be seen just before bed, prince?" Rose swung herself high into a tree, yet so silently that it was unheard of by even the best of ears. She was camouflaged into the tree, yet, the girl could see out of it perfectly. Leaning back, Rose closed her eyes, and drifted off to sleep, curling her legs in, and resting her cheek upon her legs.

"I am better at dodging rather than fighting." Well, most people whe diden’t have to fight on a regular basis were, and she obviously diden’t fight often.”A lot easier to avoid getting hurt,” he responded. “When what’s hurting you is unconciouss.’
"I know, you just can't get your yes off of me!", The running bit of sarcasm continued as the started the camp site. That laugh of heres was nearly continious, but entertaining in its own way. "I don't know how you contain yourself."
“You know,” he called as he collected a bit more fuel, this would have to burn all night after all. “ I manage.”
"And I was just thinking you would want to cuddle." Well, once again, that had been his original thought. It would have been very uncomfortable though, and if she had another “flashback” he’d be in deep trouble “Unless you really want you, I think I’ll pass. Far too small for both of us, even neck tp neck.:
Her shelter was a failry copitent on, but he knew better. Ordinarly, it would be just fine, and he might copy that, but on the horizon he coud see the makes of a thunderstorm brewing. Something like that would almost certainly strike one of the talles trees, but the trunk off his own could ground his covering. "What? Afraid to be seen just before bed, prince?" he shouted as he was pulling off his pants behind the tree. “ Well, unless you want to see me in the buff, I don’t think you’de want me to come out!” With that they both swung themselves into their respective shelters, and went to sleep.
BOOM!
The sound awoke Cana as the pitter patter of rain came into focus. The storm was weaker in rain; just above a drizzle. Yet, the lightning was moving affuel close.
*Sorry, very confined time frame*

”A lot easier to avoid getting hurt,” he began, “When what’s hurting you is unconscious.’ And there he was wrong again. It was a lot easier to run if you were faster than your prey, or not have the fight at all rather than get hurt. Offering a small shrug, Rose advanced to her next task at hand, finding the vamp site. There was a tad bit of sarcasm that began before setting up the camp, but the rest was held within. She offered her small comment, about how he just couldn't get his eyes off of her, and how she didn't understand how he could contain himself, and gave him a sly smile over her shoulder.
“You know,” By then he was gathering fire wood, and speaking as he went along. “ I manage.” "Of course, must save your dreams for another day." A light, over-dramatic sigh, and and the girl pulled her hair back into a tight pony tail. Her bangs stay forward, lightly sweeping to the right as she shook her head. The girl was always smiling, and working quickly. Her shelter, the one she built, it was perfectly large. Plenty for room for a few travelers and their bags to sleep under, due to the perfect size of the tree she had chosen. Yet, he went to make one.
“Unless you really want you, I think I’ll pass. Far too small for both of us, even neck to neck." She smiled over, and spoke. "Oh of course" the girl began to pull herself up into one of the trees, sitting on one of the branches with one leg on each side. "Anything to get close to that body." She rolled her eyes, and offered a small, but sweet laugh. Pushing herself up so she was standing, the girl watched as he vanished behind the trees, and began doing whatever he was doing.
“ Well, unless you want to see me in the buff, I don’t think you’d want me to come out!” "Better step out then." It was obvious she was joking, seeing how the girl pulled herself up higher into the tree, to where she couldn't be seen, leaned back, and fell into a light slumber.
By the time that the thunder started, the rain was already falling, and Rose was out in one of the opened parts of the field. She was twirling around, and playing in the rain, simply because she loved the cold rain, dripping against her skin. The thunder boomed loudly, echoing through the land. Looking to the skies, Rose closed her eyes for a moment, then bounced off to the fire, making sure that nothing had gone out. She tossed some seasoned meat that she had hunted. It would taste wonderful, and she knew it. Standing up, and beginning to ring out her hair, Rose closed her eyes, and advanced on to ring out the water that had soaked into her clothing and hair.

He still didn’t get her.
She obviously didn’t believe him when he explained to concept of “fight over flight”. Didn’t she understand that you can fight anything, but running only works agenst really slow and stupid things? Once they caught you, or chased you into a coroner, you couldn’t keep running. Fighting was much more versatile and, how do you say it, permanent.
Of course, must save your dreams for another day." She responded as the whole camp site was set up. She was going with the risky way of shelter, but even though his took a bit longer he would be safe from anything short of a windstorm, and even then he could simply shuffle around the tree. A regular Mrs. fix-it, with the look and everything. Could it have something to do with her multiple personalities? Likely, as his versatile skill set supported.
"Oh of course" she shouted sarcastically as they got ready for sleep. "Anything to get close to that body."
“Hey, you’re the one who complmented it earlier,” he responded
"Better step out then." She responded to the most realistic comment he had made all night. Was she joking? Likely, but then again EVERYTING she said sounded like a joke. “ Don’t think so. You’ll really have to work for this. Try later.” Once again keeping the sarcasm dripping off his tongue. Honestly, this was his night off, did her really have to work that hard. Tomorrow....
He pulled himself out from under the shelter, princely self still asleep without the proper setting to awake him. Taking a quick stretch break to shake the cold, he mumbled ‘Time for some grub,” and headed off into the trees.
Near the edge of the grove, as he had spotted on the way in, were a few isolated almond trees; fully grown and in season. He hurled himself to the base with a quick cartwheel and started stashing them in his pants pockets. Hunting wouldn’t be worth it, considering the only animal life such a mountainous area would be tough goat and stringy rabbits, and the fire had gone out during the night. (OCc- lets be realistic here, that thing wouldn’t stay alight during the rain, especially since it takes time for thunder and lightning to start.) He arrived back at camp swiftly, and began to crush the almonds for hot meal when the rain was done and they could start a fire again…
“Oh, hey,” he waved friendly when Rose arrived and attempted to restart the fire, a rabbit looking ridiculously dirty in her hands. “Won’t work, the wood’s too wet. I put a stash under the thicker trees, so once the waters die down we can make some meal. I’ve got some right here,” he held out a handful of the creamish colored flakes to make his point.

“Hey, you’re the one who complemented it earlier,” The boy stated/ "I did? Hm.. Don't remember..." Well, she honestly didn't remember if she had or not. Her mind was everywhere at the time but located on him. She wondered about everything, dazed out easily, and usually was found deep in thought, or bouncing about her own way. Did she stick to trails? Well, no, it was to obvious. Rose rather stay hidden amongst the trees, far from any trail. If they were to take a look around, the two wouldn't be able to find a trail for miles to come, few dared to travel straight into the mountains.
“Don’t think so. You’ll really have to work for this. Try later.” A roll of her eyes, and Rose spoke. "Oh you would like that, now wouldn't you?" Pulling herself into the trees, Rose quickly went into her slumber, sending down the occasional fire ball to keep at least some embers alive, and a small flame burning for the morning. The tree cover was thick, making it so the fire was hardly touched. A good advantage for travelers the trees were, you couldn't even see the morning sky.
“Oh, hey,” It was the first thing she heard as the girl came back with the rabbit. She had already rubbed some herbs into it, and just noticed that the fire had died out. "You let it die?" She asked with slight concern. “Won’t work, the wood’s too wet. I put a stash under the thicker trees, so once the waters die down we can make some meal. I’ve got some right here,” "It was fine when I left. Ah well, you can eat your almonds. I am having meat." Rose slapped the deer meat, in which she had skipped on a few miles to find, onto the rock, and quickly cooked it with a flick of the hand.
"You are free to have one if you want."

(OCC- You are on or have passed the verge of Mary Sueing. Please cease and disist said actvity)
"Oh you would like that, now wouldn't you?" She called down. I wondered if this was going to end at any point. Well, he didn’t really care. Nobody could misunderstand, mostly because nobody was with ten miles of this place.
“Maybe, but you won’t be knowing anytime soon, k?” was his response. Needed some sleep now, so he wasen’t going to continue today….”
"You let it die?" she asked when she returned to the camp. “Hey, I was out too” he responded. “ And You didn’t exactly get out to add more fuel (don’t try to say you did, the post doesn’t mention it) did you?” I was lucky to have a spark by the time I woke up, much less managed to scramble over. As I said, I can get a fire started later.”
"It was fine when I left. Ah well, you can eat your almonds. I am having meat." “Ya, and you left around three hours ago, ditsy you.” He smiled in a slightly humorous manner. “ And I just so happen to be a vegetarian, so you can have deer and eat it too. I’m willing to share if you want some variety.” He walked away as she started to cook.
Cana took the pile of wood he had collected and set it up Fire Ring ( a type of ditch filled with wood surrounding a tepee style stack.) and took out his water skin. He held it well above the fire with a nearby stick, making sure to keep the flame away but not the heat. When it was ready, he poped the top, dumped in the flakes, and shock. In due time, he had a nice, plant meal to enjoy. Why was he a vegetarian? Well, if he told her she may not want to stay around him…”
