"Collecting the herbs sounds like a good way to get out and about for a little while." He was indeed a nice one, making Genira want to offer him to come with her on one of her more important tasks. Collecting herbs. There were ones that could kill you with a simple touch, ones that could make you itch for weeks, and then the ones that you needed to help you heal. As of now, Genira was gathering deadly and healing ones. Deadly for a poisonous bomb she liked to carry around, all to help her get away if need be, and the healing for people that were injured.
"Come come!" The girl happily said while motioning for Oroan to follow her. She didn't like using the town gates, to crowded, so the girl just simply scaled the wall with little effort. It wasn't hard, wall scaling. But a simple quick few movements, and you were good. Her feet lightly taped against the wall, and the girl's fingers caught onto the edge of a nearby building. Pulling herself up, she jumped back to one of the wooden supports on the wall, and made her way up with a series of helpful hand holes from fallen bricks of support poles that stuck out form the stone wall.
Making it to the top, the girl awaited the man to follow, not expecting him to climb it as quickly as she had, and then made her way down the other side. A small grass field to go, and the two would be at the forest. Grass shifted with each step as Genira pulled up her hood, and placed the mask back over her face. Out in public, when she wasn't getting someone somewhere, the girl always wore it. It was simply to hide her identity from those who passed by, and others who wanted to kill the rest of her kind.

Oroan let Genira lead him along as he kept track of where they were going. he figured it would be best to start getting an idea of what was where from the start so it would be easier to find his way around the place. Coming to a wall he watched as Genira scaled it, impressed at he climbing skills.
Tensing his legs, he pushed off and jumped, landing lightly next to Genira. Scaling walls presented little difficulty to the demon. If he couldn't jump over it, his claws would always let him be able to walk directly up any surface they could pierce if he chose. He waited for Genira to climb down before hopping down as well and landing just as lightly as before.
She led him along and he couldn't help but notice when she hid her face once more by the mask and hood. "Odd, you clearly are attractive, and you don't seem shy. Why would you hide your face as you do?" He asked, his 'tone' revealing that thirst for knowledge that drove him to learning as much as he could about the things, people, and places he encountered.

"Odd, you clearly are attractive, and you don't seem shy. Why would you hide your face as you do?" Attractive? That was nice of the demon, but she wouldn't call herself that. A strange little thing she held, being called the runt of her tribe gave the girl a low self esteem. she was slowly clawing her way out of it, but it should look to be quite the while until she was fully happy with her appearance once more. "Attractive? I wouldn't say so. But it is a sign of respect for my people, when your village is gone to wear the mask. And i have many coming after my kind, due to past relations that drove us into the mountains." Her explanation was full, and complete, satisfying the girl's thought.
Lightly walking into the shaded forest, Genira held her hand out in front of her, and lit a white ball of fire. The ball seemed to be it's own, floating about, and running light over a few of the surrounding herbs. The girl crouched down, and motioned to Oroan. "I need you to pick a bunch of these ones, but don't touch these, okay?" The ones she had wanted the man to pick were a light green, and the others a lime looking yellow. "the second one is poisonous, and I will be handling those.
smiling up through her mask, Genira lightly dug into the ground, and covered her hands with dirt. It was to protect herself from the poison in the plant. Sh epulled out two bags, and offered one to Oroan so he could place the herbs into a sack, making it easier to carry around. The girl's fingers tucked under the poisonous plants, plucking them by their root, and lighlty dropping them into her sack. she repeated the process a few times, just before beginning to speak. "So where was the portal you came out of originated, Oroan?"

Oroan rose an eyebrow at the explanation. Odd to think that residents of this realm would be chased by other's within it. His home realm didn't have such occurrences, the idea was somewhat alien to him. Though he was an explorer as much as a warrior, and that helped him view things with an open mind. "How unfortunate." he replied. Such responses from him were often short as his mental 'tone' carried any real meaning behind his words, allowing almost no room for misunderstanding.
He looked to the herbs that Genira wished for him to gather, and couldn't help but smile inwardly. His claws allowing him to handle such things without any threat from poisons and the like. Working quickly, he used the tips of his claws to dig around the roots, tilting them back he allowed the herb to slide along the two and a half foot claw and into his palm, before repeating the process. It was clear that the claws were something he had learned to work with quite well, over the millenia, he had learned to be capable of writing with quills and the like by using them.
Then Genira asked about the portal. Back in my realm, I was a knight and adviser to the royal family. Here I was known as The Knight of the Eclipse." He started, knowing that it had been almost five hundred years since that name was whispered in fear by the beings of this realm. It had been the only name he was known by here, but few likely knew the name anymore.
"One of the abilities I was granted was that every two hundred years, I am able to open a portal between our realm and any other realm by using an altar which houses the spirit of the demon simply known as the transporter. I chose this realm as it was much easier to disguise the energies needed to open the portal. As they layouts of our realms are different, I wasn't sure where I would arrive." He explained as he let the herbs roll from his claws into the bag.
"In shorter terms, I was smuggled into this realm." He added, once more giving that odd impression of smiling with his eyes.

"How unfortunate." Genira offered a small nod, and looked up through her lashes. "People don't understand anymore." Looking back to the forest ahead, the girl quickly showed him the non-poisonous plants in which she wanted him to pick. A few moments of silence had passed by, the girl studying how he used his claws. It was interesting, how he had mastered the art. Personally, Genira would have never learned to use them. She would daze out in the middle of something, and mess up, hence her slight resistance to the poisonous plants she was now plucking. A small question, and the girl looked up, awaiting the man's answer.
"Back in my realm, I was a knight and adviser to the royal family. Here I was known as The Knight of the Eclipse." Knight of the Eclipse? Her father had always told Genira stories of the damned creature, as he called him. "My dad was afraid of you." A light smile, and the girl nodded. "A lot of people were." A common knowledge that the girl did not fear, but rather accept. It was just like her race, they were feared, but there was no reason.
"One of the abilities I was granted was that every two hundred years, I am able to open a portal between our realm and any other realm by using an altar which houses the spirit of the demon simply known as the transporter. I chose this realm as it was much easier to disguise the energies needed to open the portal. As they layouts of our realms are different, I wasn't sure where I would arrive." "So you can venture into other realms? Interesting. I was always told that you couldn't unless you were pure evil." the girl's fingers worked quickly, pulling the plants up, and plopping them into the bag without a care.
"In shorter terms, I was smuggled into this realm." She laughed at that point, letting her soft smile, visible in her eyes, gaze up to him. "Smuggled? I was smuggled into my camp by my dad." a small shake of the girl's hand, and she pulled up her hand, brushing her fingers with the poisonous plant's leaves. A light squeak echoed through the air as the girl yanked back her hand, and stared to the red tinted skin. Quickly pulling out an ointment, she rubbed the bottled cream over the mark, and sighed. "I have got to stop doing that.."

Oroan couldn't suppress the small mental chuckle. Those people had very good reason to fear him, at least if they gave cause for him to come after them. His reputation hadn't been built from generous deeds. One has to be a full blood demon to open the portals to cross realms. Many are evil, all who have crossed over have been here for dark deeds. He explained. He couldn't speak for those from other realms, but he knew the way the powers of his masters worked better than they did.
He looked over at Genira's exclamation as he hand brushed the leaves. She applied ointment and he retrieved some more of the poisonous herb. "Perhaps while I help you collect these, it would be best to have me handle these. My claws allow me to handle these with no concern." He said as he dropped the herbs in the bag and looked back to Genira, waiting until she had stopped applying the ointment.
"So what effects, if any take place outside of the rash?" He asked, wondering as to the nature of the herbs he was helping to collect.

"One has to be a full blood demon to open the portals to cross realms. Many are evil, all who have crossed over have been here for dark deeds." The girl nodded, now understanding the outcome of his arrival. She could remember attempting to open a portal when she was younger. of course she failed miserably, it was still a result of her trying. Many hadn't even taken the chance, but Genira, she was still studying the leaping ore realms. She wasn't known as the fox mage for nothing, seeing how she had created so many spells that were never before seen.
"Perhaps while I help you collect these, it would be best to have me handle these. My claws allow me to handle these with no concern." the girl looked up, and smiled. "I would let you, but the poison will stick to your claws, and it is hell to get it off." The goo like substance on the leaves were nearly impossible to rid yourself of permanently. But rather it stuck into your system, making anyone who touched it, if they were not killed, slightly immune to the herb. At a young age Genira had began to do such as become immune, so now the plant just stung, and nothing more.
"So what effects, if any take place outside of the rash?" "These herbs are here to make one's skin form a rash, and slowly it slows the blood flow to a stop." Looking up to Oroan, the girl smiled, and spoke once more. "But I am nearly immune now. We are collecting these ones to make a bomb, all just in case it is needed. I as well sell the bombs to make a living, that and health potions." The girl was what one would call a potion master, although she was nearly a master mage.

At the comment of how the herb left a residue, Oroan lifted up one claw looked at it. Wiping it along the ground he noted he would need to spend a decent amount of time wiping the residue away between picking, granted he could run the razor edge of one claw over another to scrape it away, but he decided to let Genira keep at it.
"So the different compounds in these herbs help create explosives and healing effects. Interesting, the plants from my own realm do not have such a potential use." He said, making a mental note to learn a decent amount of herbology in this realm. It could likely be a great help to him to know about this, and it sounded fascinating.
"And is this a common trade in this realm? He asked. Oroan was very familiar with trade and commerce, it was used widely in his own realm. He wondered what a business like Genira's would be like if brought back to his realm, he figured it best not to think about such things.

"So the different compounds in these herbs help create explosives and healing effects. Interesting, the plants from my own realm do not have such a potential use." Genira smiled, and nodded. "The worst of things can be the best to heal, and the things that are thought to heal can be deadly killers." She was simply giving a few small facts, and keeping sure that she didn't make it sound to terrible. Different parts of the plants made for dangerous chemical reactions, even if they were to grow in the same location. "Herbology is a useful thing to learn, especially seeing how it can save your life."
"And is this a common trade in this realm?" "Potions is a common trade, not bombs. Few know about the creation of them." Pulling out a small liquid, the girl stood up, and motioned for him to hold up his land. "Here, I will get the poison's effect off of your claws." she pulled open the bottle, and and lightly drizzled the clear liquid over his claws. "We have gathered enough." The girl offered a small smile while she motioned for the demon to follow.
"It is kind of hard to get the potions down at first, but you get used to is.

The craft certainly sounds rather interesting." He said as they got ready to go with their little harvest of herbs Following Genira hopped he would get a chance to see her at work with the creation of the potions. He did much better at learning when he was able to see something being done, or was guided along when doing it himself, often preferring to do both if he could.
"How long have you made profits by doing this?" He asked, fairly sure that it wasn't her sole source of income, at least not from what he had been able to gather from the short amount of time around Genira.
He also let his eyes wander as they walked, not only committing things to memory, but simply taking in the sights. It many ways it was similar to his own realm. Sunlight, trees and non-sentient being flying and scurrying about. Things simply seemed a little more... tranquil in comparison. In some ways it appealed to Oroan, he preferred his own realm simply due to the fact he had come to think of it as home after all this time. The inhabitants of this realm are quite fortunate. He thought.

"The craft certainly sounds rather interesting." Genira smiled brightly, ye tit was covered by her mask. The sun's setting light peeked through the trees, casting upon the girl as she paused. "I guess you could say that. It can be pretty bad sometimes as well." Sometimes a potion that you would figure could cure one, would actually kill one. It was the risk you take when making potions. Never once would it be a safe thing to do, especially when making explosives. A poisonous goo and gas spreading around, burning your skin? It had only happened to Genira once before, and she never wanted it to happen again.
"How long have you made profits by doing this?" "Only a couple of months, but I am trying to get a job at the palace as a maid. They get paid so much, and work as long as they wish." Looking back to the man as they came to a small stream side, with a clearage of grass, Genira paused, and began to dig a small hold next to the water. "It is labor intensive, but good when you needed some quick money." Rinsing her hands off in the stream next to her, Genira quickly cupped her hands, and scooped some water to fill the hole about half way.
"Would you like to learn how to make a health potion?" Her question was simple, and her voice like a melody. She figured just coming into the world, she would teach him how to make a quick health potion, one that you needed to pour over the wound. Her fingers quickly moved to untie the laced bag, and pull out a few of the poisonous plants after freezing their roots. The girl placed them upon one of the nearby rocks, and swiftly cut off the roots with her blade. It was small, but useful in situations such as the prior.
Sprinkling the frozen roots into the water, Genira looked up to Oroan, awaiting him to follow her example, or say something to show that he didn't want to make the potion. Ether way, she was going to finish making the potion, no matter what he was lead to think.

'You don't really strike me as the type to be a maid, but then I've been wrong just as often as the next person." He replied as they approached a stream where it seemed clear that Genira was planning to work with her harvest. She asked if he wished to learn and he gave a nod before repeating some of the motions she made.
"I have no means of freezing the roots as of now, could I ask you do take care of that for right now? He asked, waiting until the roots were frozen, fairly sure she would do so. It wouldn't be hard, but he would need to attain some means of being able to freeze the roots on his own.
With a deft swipe of one of his claws, the roots were severed. Showing the odd dexterity with the ends of his claws, he followed Genira's example. He had little doubt he would fail in this, though he was sure that it would need to be practiced a few times before he wouldn't need the example, and that was if it became more complex than it was up to this point.

"You don't really strike me as the type to be a maid, but then I've been wrong just as often as the next person." the girl laughed, and offered a small nod. "Ya, but you know. I need a job. This doesn't offer much money, and I need to be able to afford a couple of things." She had often gave quite a few chinks to a few of the charities around, helping everyone she could possibly help. It was the girl's nature, she couldn't help but send off her money. There were people out there, people who were in bad shape for the whole money thing. Although supplies didn't cost much, money was hard to come by if you didn't already have something running for you.
Genira quickly began her work, digging the hole, and watching as Oroan had copied her. Offering a small nod of approval as he began, the girl froze her roots, and placed them into the water mixture. there is where they ran across the slight problem, he couldn't freeze the roots on his own. "I have no means of freezing the roots as of now, could I ask you do take care of that for right now?" A light nod, and the girl reached over, froze the roots, and let him carry on. "I will whip up a quick spell for you later, so you can freeze the roots. Sound like a plan?"
gentle eyes quickly smiled up, then returned to their state of looking down. She quickly tossed in a few of the healing herbs, and mixed the plants around, quickly heating the water to a boil. "Can you heat things?" Heating things up just made the process much faster, and not as painstaking. A quick heating, and a full day's work was lowered into a few minutes.

Still following Genira's examples, Oroan's eyes focused even more as he absorbed what was being taught to him. The basic process seemed very simply it was the amounts and temperatures that would be more interesting to memorize as he figured the varieties were vast.
He shook his head when she asked about him being able to heat things. "My magical nature is based on making my body as strong as it is despite it's appearance. My only real outlets for magic have no way to assist in these techniques. I will need to use the proper equipment when I begin to work on my own." He replied as he looked over to Rose. "However, if I did have such means, I am confidant that I am being taught very well." He added, wishing to let her know that she was making it very easy for him to learn by walking him through it instead of simply giving instructions as those who had taught him in his own realm had done.

"My magical nature is based on making my body as strong as it is despite it's appearance. My only real outlets for magic have no way to assist in these techniques. I will need to use the proper equipment when I begin to work on my own." No magical nature such as fire or ice? Well, there were many like that out there, she wasn't concerned. "Well, if you wish I could whip you up an amulet so you cold call upon the power within it, all so you can heat and freeze things." The girl smiled up to Oroan, and pulled out two small charms, and a string. "I would just need a little bit of help after I enchanted them. You see, I am not good at it yet, and tend to tire myself greatly in the process."
"However, if I did have such means, I am confidant that I am being taught very well." The girl looked up, and nodded. "You think so? I am just showing you a quick example though." She was glad that Oroan had said so, for Genira never thought of herself as one to do well at the whole teaching thing. Had she taught people before? Well, no. The girl usually went on with her own way, but Oroan needed the help, and she was willing to give it to him.
"Could you mix your potion while I heat it? Once it gets to the boiling point it will be goon, and we just have to await it to cool. It will burn a bit, but that is normal." The girl's hand turned over, and she swiftly began to heat this mixture of his, letting the sweet smell flow through her nose, and bring a faint smile to her covered lips.
